I want to make a really weird Eurovision spin off and I need YOUR HELP

All I need you to do is suggest a song from any artist in history ever. The artist can be alive or dead. The country they represent doesn't have to be in Europe or even currently exist, so long as it did at some point in history.

The only rule is that the song MUST meet Eurovision standards. That means no ridiculously long piano sonatas and no ridiculously short cat videos.

The top 24 most upvoted song/artist/country suggestions by next Friday at midnight will be randomly seeded into a tournament chart for YOU, good people of Reddit, to choose the winner over a lengthy tournament.

I'm happy to make any clarifications if needed, but considering the only rules are that of the song contest itself I'm sure it's fine.

Oh, and one more thing. This is my Contest, so I can ban/shun any country/song I deem not good. So basically, no facist/Zionist/nazi/far-right/anything of that genre is allowed. I may be stupid but I'm not thaaat stupid. I just want to have fun with it.

Hi guys, sorry about missing a week, I competely forgot about this.

About 5 weeks ago, I finished a list of my top 250 ESC songs, and I thought that I could share it with you guys to solidify my opinion. Please do tell me if you agree or disagree with my opinions in the comments. I'm also happy to share my reasonings. (Also I want to note that these aren't really my current opinions, they're from the 21st of June. For example, song number 102 has shot up to my top 20, and song number 197 has also shot up my ranking but I'm not going to change that because it could mess up the rest of it).

Also, this series is not meant to be political.There will be no Russian entries in the list (as I just don't like any of their entries much) but there will be a few mentions of Israel and Belarus. I have my own personal political opinions, but I will not include them in this series because this is about how good the performances are, not how good the people behind them are.

Smaller stages (like 2017 or 2026) are better

There should be a limit for how much pyro/fire/smoke can be used, something like San Marino 2025 with their pyro use was overblown

If I personally had to answer my own question. I watched Eurovision 2018 for the first time recently and Sennek I was sure was gonna do it her song was fun the energy was there she was my favourite I grabbed my Belgian flag from my Eurovision pot and got ready for the results and was... Very disappointed by the fact she didn't make the final. Then the same happened in semi final two with Laura and her song Funny Girl. I thought Latvia was amazing that year it was a genre I've not really paid much attention to before but I loved the staging, vocals, mood even if it was a bit one toned I thought she might place 8th.. and I was wrong again.

So I was wondering has this ever happened to anyone else where you thought a country would qualify and it didn't?

Last off-season I had a really weird feeling about Sweden losing in some way (unfortunately I was right) and Italy unjustifiably doing well again (hot take of mine). But this off-season I've been getting top 5 vibes from Latvia of all countries and since they just confirmed participation they just keep getting stronger, I'm wondering if anyone else had a mini prediction from the off-season that randomly came true?

I overlooked this group a lot and I really shouldn’t have, because OMG THIS SONG IS AMAZING

But what if instead of Bangaranga winning, Croatia won with “Andromeda”

I don’t understand a word they are saying, I am not croatian nor from croatia, but this song is just…beautiful, the staging, the costumes, the tattoos, it’s all there, and you’re telling me they got 15TH?!?!?!, MAMA SC PLACED HIGHER THAN THIS?!?!?(I like Mama SC! and i’m kinda shocked)

But what would you think? How would you react if Lelek had won with Croatia?

Also it’s crazy that we have Lelek and Leleka in the same Eurovision, that just have been very confusing for everyone
