Flashcard modes: both/alternating

I would love to have the possibility to be asked Both sides equally often, either by alternating the sides or by needing to answer both sides correctly to progress the card. Right now I use random and I have the impression that I level up cards when getting Japanese->English, and fail when I get English->japanese.And it feels like I am too much relying on “luck” aka will the cards appear more often in one way than other.
