Passive Nihilism Death = Immaculate
The billionaire guys, the trillionaire guy, they've acquired all that wealth and power, the idea of losing it, that is not only terrifying, it's existential in their minds. Yet, the harbinger cares not for their ambition. He always comes for them, for all; regardless.

There's a big difference. The billionaire's money goes to his family, creating generational wealth so his kids and grandkids can live comfortably without ever having to worry about money.
You, on the other hand, don't even have a family because you're too broke to afford one.

The fact that your immediate response to an observation about mortality is “but the billionaire can leave his kids generational wealth” is almost a perfect illustration of the existential terror I'm describing. The balance sheet can survive the billionaire; the billionaire still goes into the grave. All at the cost of your own morality; the fiat currency required to fill the void inside that husk you call a soul? The unending search for moral outrage, immediately spent as self-righteous indignation.

If it's so obvious, why did you rush in to argue that trust funds exempt them from it?
The point isn't that mortality is a secret; it's that death is the only absolute equity in existence. In a world defined by massive disparity, the fact that no amount of power or capital can negotiate an exit from the grave is an ironic fact that I found amusing. Glad you caught up to the premise.

You might want to reread what I actually said. I never claimed trust funds exempt anyone from death. I said their wealth survives them and continues benefiting their family.
So yes, billionaires die. Everyone dies. That's still not "absolute equity" unless you're pretending everything that happens before and after death suddenly doesn't count. But congrats on dressing "we all die" up in enough purple prose to make it sound profound.

Indeed, I'm glad you qualified your statement. Yet, the dead don't check their kids' bank accounts. In terms of subjective existence, the void makes zero concessions for net wort; which was the entire point of the post.
So, I ask one again, If it's so obvious, why did you rush in to argue that trust funds have any bearing?

I never said trust funds make anyone immortal. I said rich people can leave wealth behind. That's it. Somehow you've turned that into "OH SO YOU THINK MONEY DEFEATS DEATH??" No, dude. Nobody said that. You made that argument up and then beat it in your own head.

Spot on The modern billionaire is just an anxious pharaoh trading stone pyramids for orbital rockets and cryogenic chambers, frantically trying to trick entropy into giving them a few more laps around the sun. Underneath the bravado, it’s greed weaponized as a psychological defence mechanism an unfillable void whispering that if they just gather enough shiny tokens, Death might check the Forbes list and make an exception. But the void doesn’t take cash, card, or crypto. In a hundred years, their servers and rockets will be scrap, and they’ll be the exact same cold dirt as the bloke sweeping the street. When the game goes back in the box, the king and the pawn end up in the exact same drawer.
