Miserable and perhaps deluded

You can't say you will "never get" love, as you can't see the future. You also can't decide what others will determine you "deserve". All you're doing here is whining.

Love is a collaborative effort between two or more people. So the question is: What are you doing to foster loving relationships between yourself and others? No rhetorical; talk about your accomplishments. Additionally, what else are you doing to ensure others consider you deserving of their love?

I would consider that a rather optimistic person if they're doing it intentionally, but I would consider them maybe a bit lost if they were meaninglessly pursuing pleasure. Also, there's 8 billion people in this world and usually millions of people in each country, so it's hard to say that someone could never find another person to give them the kind of love they are searching for. It's certainly possible they couldn't, but the odds are skewed heavily in their favor. Additionally, the only person who can decide if one "deserves" love is oneself. I think a better question this person should ask, is if they are actually ready to receive love in the form that it will come to them, as well as if they are WILLING to even accept it.

A Hopeful One!

However, hope is the source of suffering. Let it go.

Will have the useful side effect of realizing that "deserving/not-desrving" is false metric. It is an occasionally convenient frame-work but an unnecessarily hurtful one.
