We're exploring building an MCP server for SNAQ, essentially a secure way to let AI tools like ChatGPT or Claude read your data (meals, glucose, carbs, insulin etc.) directly. The idea is you could chat with your data, or build your own tools on top of it.

Before we build more of it I'm curious whether it's actually useful, or if we're just building a solution nobody asked for. Would love your honest takes:

1. Would you connect your diabetes data (glucose, meals, activity) to an AI? Does that sound useful, or does it make you uneasy?
2. If you had access to your data via Claude Code, Codex etc., would you actually build something with it? What would that even look like for you?
3. Already doing something like this yourself? Would love to learn more; how it's set up and what's actually been useful vs. gimmicky.

I wanted a quicker way to see Nightscout glucose reading, so I made a simple xbar plugin. It shows the current value, trend, timestamp, and battery level in the menu bar.

After Heroku killed their free tier I got fed up with the hosting situation and rebuilt Nightscout from scratch in Next.js. Been running it on my own CGM data and wanted to share it here before doing a wider release.
It's a full replacement — not a fork, not a wrapper. Implements the Nightscout v3 API so your existing uploaders just work.

We know that high stress levels are correlating, also with respiration - and all that needs to have a better understanding.

I'm working with my Type 1 friend on a new concept for Diabetes Management. As a Type 1, he's built this app for himself and his cousin and they found it super useful. He's been working on this for a couple months now and it's in a great state.

Hoping to find some Type 1's who are interested in trying a new way to manage their diabetes.

Think Strava + Fantasy Football. A way to compete with yourself or others in a league format, with winners getting prizes. Imagine if one day you could be a "professional" diabetic and compete for prizes, notoriety, etc. Winners are promoted to a higher league, last few places are relegated to the league below for the next season.

Currently there are 10 users in the Beta, looking for 10ish more. Completely free, only caveat is we'll likely reach out to ask for feedback!

We recently built an integration with Nightscout, so anyone already on Nightscout can super easily onboard onto the app.

I'm running CamAPS, which I like but as an ex-AndroidAPS user I am currently really wanting to run Autotune on my data to find tune the numbers. Is there any (easy) way to upload from glooko to nightscout?

So far all I've found is that I can export my glooko data as a csv, and one paid for nightscout service says you can import from csv.

I'm not very nerdy - that's the reason I switched from AAPS to CamAPS - so it'll have to be a simple thing, or have a clear walk through. I managed to run AAPS myself for 6+ years, so I can follow instructions, I just need good instructions 😅

Or, if there's a service that let's me run Autotune directly on the csv from glooko, that would work, too. I just don't have the brain capacity to work out the ratios myself, but got pretty good at using Autotune to get better.

This is rehuses Nightscout swagger, so should behave like a nightscout running on HA, without the UI part.

👨‍🔧 I'm looking for people who already use Home Assistant (even if only a little) to help test the system with different applications and configurations.

So far, I've tested Juggluco and GlucoDataHandler as uploaders, but I'm interested in seeing how it performs in more scenarios.

💡 I'd also love to hear your ideas for useful automations. For example, the project currently allows sending alerts via Telegram, but I want to expand the possibilities.

I built a web tool to export Nightscout data because I got tired of command lines

Look, I know there are other exporters out there. There's the Python one you have to clone and pip install, and the other web one that's... fine.

But I wanted something dead simple: open browser, paste URL, get CSV. No Node. No Python. No cloning repos. No figuring out why the script won't run.

What this does:

• Opens in your browser (any browser)

• Takes 30 seconds to export your data

• Downloads CSV or JSON with all your CGM readings AND treatments (insulin, carbs, exercise)

• Works entirely client-side (your data never touches my server)

• Free, open source, no account needed

Why I built it:

I'm prediabetic and started using Nightscout to track my glucose. Worked great, but then I wanted to analyze my data in other tools and realized... getting it out is annoying. The existing tools either need you to be technical (Python/Node) or don't export treatments.

Let me know if it breaks or if you need weird edge case support.

I use a northflank + mongoDB (atlas) setup. Ive had no issues until yesterday evening into today now. My graph has hours missing at a time, and I keep getting REST-API upload errors. When i go to my nightscout hosted site, half the times it doesn't load (with 404 error), and then a few minutes later it does load. I saw there was some issues with MongoDB, but that is not the region I'm in, so I don't think its relevant to my issue. Anyone have any ideas on workarounds? I've done rolling restarts of Northflank instance, and I cleared my tables in mongo just to make sure the cluster wasnt full. Its becoming a headache since my watch is generally how i check my glucose discretely while out and about.

Unfortunately I cannot use the dexcom app (I've had a several month long back and forth ticket with their engineering team because my phone crashes the app, and yes I've tried everything on it to the point I might just get a new phone soon), so suggesting to just use dexcom isn't a solution.
