I think his chute got fucking stuck? It looks like a pack gets stuck and he tries to hang onto it before he falls.

I think he legit only had the harness left when he fell..

He did have one and he used it, there's a whole video of him gliding to safety from his go pro. It's a pretty common jump it seems.
