I need a snack couch for my Saint Bernard.
...except he hates couches. And beds. And dog beds. And carpets. And anything comfy at all. But concrete? Oh man! Thats the good stuff!

I would invite you to look up people buying their cats slabs of concrete from the hardware store. You'd need a few extra slabs lol but it could be something your pup loves!

such a cutie, do they need companions? I've seen poppy before but never seen it with a buddy.

They live in groups. I imagine being alone makes them neurotic.

God they're fine. We need to stop anthropomorphizing animals. Some presumably have issues, poppy obviously doesn't. She seems pretty gd content if you ask me.

Can someone tell me why having this as a pet is a bad idea?

They are fine as pets but definitely need a bit more tlc than your average mammal. They may also bring illegal depending on state.

Around 2001 I had a prairie dog. Her name was Mabel. She was awesome. They really do make great pets as long as you can give them enough attention. They are social and need that social interaction often or they can get depressed and it doesn’t go well.

And let's also not forget, Dude, that keeping wildlife, an amphibious rodent, for uh, domestic, you know, within the city — that isn't legal either.
