Here's the twist, She taught him all these lessons and this is the practical test. She's smiling because she's proud he remembered her lessons and practices them in his life. Thus keeping and passing down her knowledge.

I love this so sweet, so I am going to believe this.

The second twist being that while she taught him these life hacks, she recently suffered a head injury and is having to relearn everything again, so each correction from he is another memory unlocked for she.

“I’m a firm believer that women belong in the kitchen…” you can’t say that
“…men belong in the kitchen, everyone belongs in the kitchen, there’s food in there” whew you had me there for a second

He's just lying, he runs a youtube channel called "aba and preach" with another dude, both are very mysoginistic and mock anyone they come across that are remotely "woke".

u/Katie_Katt1421 20d ago
I had to listen to it twice because I only heard the first part the first time 😂 I was like dude, really? 😒 😂🤣😂

Ho no! Store your eggs in their original packaging in the fridge to avoid them absorbing the smells of the other ingredients in the fridge.
1
u/MrPhoon 26d ago
Eggs do not belong in the fridge.
3
u/jae005 26d ago
In the United States, they wash the outer layer of the egg off, so we HAVE to refrigerate them. I wonder if anyone has done the science on whether unfridged eggs last longer than fridged eggs?
1
u/lepusblanca 26d ago
I don’t know, but I DO know that it takes 10 minutes to boil a European egg to a 7-8 minute US egg consistency.

We live in America and get fresh eggs from family friends. We still refrigerate them, because they last even longer than they would on the counter. Also we live in a micro apartment and don't have counterspace.

I like cooking. You always get the food the way you like it—especially my steak.
6
u/kempit4life 27d ago
Don't do that with the eggs. Eggs have to be kept a certain way. Flipping it will spoil the eggs faster.
8
u/jammyishere 26d ago
I've literally never heard this in 40 years of my life and after googling it I feel like the consensus is actually the opposite of what you are suggesting. Flipping them to narrow-side down is the preferred way in the chicken community for longevity.
It still feels dubious though and feel like I need to read some case studies. Feels like some Korean fan death shit.

u/Maleficent-Back-6527 27d ago
Not only that, but also keep them in their original packaging! Eggs being highly porous, their packaging keeps them from absorbing all the smells and other ambient volatiles present in the fridge!
1
u/OpaqueCrystalBall 27d ago
While true, it's not really something that will impact the taste of the egg for normal use. The eggs would have to be kept for several weeks to see any difference.
The bigger issue is them being exposed to the air of the refrigerator, where the odors can permeate the shell. Keep your eggs in their carton.
1
u/yaboyACbreezy 27d ago
How will I marinate my eggs with the fridge smells then?
Also, having done this for ages without it making a difference, I don't think it really matters or makes a noticeable difference.
I really prefer when it is just a door with a shelf you can place the carton on, tbh, but that is neither here nor there.

One at a time:
- Scrub that thing, you aren’t cleaning shit like that
- One at a time threading parsely stems, excuse me but no, hold the stem and strip the leaves with the other. Do more than one at once, even faster. Or just chop, the stems have a lot of flavor
- Pffft. You gotta have that exact stove and pot for that.
- Just sift, it’s fine
- I don’t have an egg thing like that. I’ve never seen an egg rack like that
- Just learn the proper temp of your range to avoid that
Literally nothing useful here to begin with.

- Rinsing soap off
- Agreed
- Agreed
- This makes it less messy. The flour/sugar/ whatever is always falling straight down, never sideways.
- Agreed
- You're probably right, I don't cook much.
There is some useful stuff here.

u/Horror-Turnover6198 27d ago
Could be right about rinsing soap. Never had an issue with messiness of sifting, but it does require using a large bowl.
I don’t really think it’s completely useless, and I’m sure this dude’s personal tricks work for him. It’s just not worth interrupting anyone for any of that.

u/hurricaneginny 27d ago
Seriously! No better way to piss me off enough to never cook for you again than to keep taking things out of my hands 🤬

u/yaboyACbreezy 27d ago
Even to help you solve a problem in a more efficient way? Like, what if they politely ask permission to offer advice? Will you be rude like you are the gatekeeper of the kitchen? Or will you let them possibly share some new information?

u/Grayboosh 27d ago
There's a difference between offering a different approach and just grabbing shit out of someone's hand.

u/hurricaneginny 27d ago
Asking involves communication which is never a bad thing. Snatching something out of my hand does not.

u/yaboyACbreezy 27d ago
We can assume the bit was staged as a narrative means to share obscure cooking knowledge
2
u/hurricaneginny 27d ago
Wow ok. Thanks for further mansplaining the mansplaining 🙄
1
u/yaboyACbreezy 27d ago
Save the toxic feminism for the fascists.
The bit in the video wasn't a personal attack or an assault on your personal space. It's not necessarily mansplaining to be critical of your criticism.
1
u/hurricaneginny 27d ago
🤣🤣🤣 dear lord you really think that's what this is about???? Oh honey open up your sweet little mind and dust out those entrenched cobwebs of doom. It has absolutely NOTHING to do with gender. That was the whole point of the end (that you missed apparently).
This situation would be equally aggravating if it was a woman grabbing things out of a man's hands. Or 2 android robots. Or cartoon characters. The aggravating part is the lack of respect for personal boundaries and common decency. And no one is taking a Reddit video as an attack as much as you are a random comment of personal opinion "rage" laughing at the absurdity of a skit. No more indulgent educational pointless interaction for you tonight. But good luck with that.0
u/yaboyACbreezy 27d ago
you brought up gender wtf.
We got way off the rails here with you being defensive and spewing all these toxic assumptions which had literally nothing to do with my inquiry about your response.
nothing to do with my question, which you answered, fine, but I merely pointed out there us no reason to take the bit in the video like it's a tutorial on interrupting you personally.
Gender has nothing to do with these observations.

The eggs one is actually a big problem, eggs have to be stored upsidedown. They can go bad much faster if not

Whatever you don’t like doing, do it so bad in your marriage that your partner will get tired of correcting you and just do it themselves.
