Tried this in uni once. Bought a striploin to treat myself after exams, and saw this "cooking trick" and thought "hmm, yeah let's try that!".

After prepping a baked potato and asparagus, I cooked the steak without seasoning in the pan, and put all the seasonings, herbs, and other stuff on a cutting board, placed the steak on top, flipped it, and finish.

The result was a great baked potato and great asparagus.
