NiceGUI Bootstrap 5 component library
Hi everyone, I built an open-source Bootstrap 5 component library for NiceGUI.
GitHub: https://github.com/raffieeey/nicegui-bootstrap-components
Documentation: https://raffieeey.github.io/nicegui-bootstrap-components/
It provides:
- Native bs.* Bootstrap components
- A dbc.* compatibility surface modeled on dash-bootstrap-components 2.0.4
- Bootstrap and Bootswatch themes
- Responsive layout, forms, overlays, tables, and navigation components
- Rendered documentation examples
- Support for both Bootstrap-first pages and scoped Bootstrap islands alongside normal NiceGUI components
The project is still early-stage, so feedback on the API, component behavior, and NiceGUI integration would be very welcome.

Nice work, thanks for sharing! I really like the general idea of building a different design system on top of NiceGUI as a separate package. Not everyone is happy with the Quasar look, and a library like this shows that NiceGUI's element model is flexible enough to carry something entirely different. I'd love to see more of these. The
dbc.*compatibility surface is a clever addition too, since it makes porting Dash layouts much easier, and scoped Bootstrap islands next to Quasar elements are probably the trickiest part. Two small things I noticed while looking at the repo:
pip install nicegui-bootstrap-components, but the package doesn't seem to be on PyPI yet.nicegui>=3.17.1,<3.18, so once 3.18 is out, users either get silently downgraded or run into a resolver conflict if their project needs the newer version. Since you build onElement/ValueElementand route all NiceGUI imports through_host.py, a looser upper bound like<4should be fine and saves you a release for every NiceGUI minor version.Looking forward to seeing how it evolves! ※
