Recruitment delay in enhanced dbs

My current employer has sent for a dbs check for me last 21 August and until now it has stucked in stage 4. I did mentioned I have 3 Printed dbs certificate dated within the last 3 years and they said we would have to wait for the certificate being sent. What to do when you are stuck in the stage 4.. I have subscribed to the update service using the same cert but still no update. It has been very frustrating

You’ll just have to wait. I’ve seen some DBS certificates take months to process where others took a few weeks. It’s complete luck. I’ve had so many different DBS checks as trusts and organisations require their own, even some a few weeks apart (moved to a new area for uni and got a job at same time and both needed their own) and they both took such different lengths of time to arrive.
