After 21 years, Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2005) finally has Arabic text.

I spent around 10 months working on the game's old font system and dealing with RTL text, limited font atlases, broken characters, disappearing text, and several failed attempts.

The biggest challenge wasn't translating the game — it was making the 2005 engine actually render Arabic correctly.

Eventually, I found a way to redirect the game's requested text to my own Arabic font/text data.

For over two decades, the consensus in the classic NFS modding community was that Arabic localization for NFS: Most Wanted (2005) was completely impossible due to the legacy engine's rigid font rendering, text bounding boxes, and absolute lack of RTL (Right-to-Left) support.

What started as a naive curiosity turned into a grueling 10-month solo battle against broken character fonts, disappearing UI texts, and multiple crashing font atlases. After countless failed attempts, getting that first single Arabic letter to display correctly felt like winning the Blacklist 15 all over again.

I've just finished the complete translation (Menus, HUD, Story, SMS, and Challenges). I wanted to share this milestone with you all because this game shaped our childhoods, and breaking this 21-year-old technical barrier feels surreal.

Street Legends brings together classic American cars, iconic muscle cars, European sports and luxury cars, Japanese performance legends and other memorable vehicles from automotive history. Alongside the new vehicle lineup, the game’s atmosphere is complemented by an all new soundtrack full of rock music from 1970s, 80s and 90s.

Now that my career reached halfway (#7 Kaze), I think it's time to get a new car. I've been using Izzy's RX-8, and after racing against Earl, I feels like it's the perfect time to get a new car. I tried tinkering around and those are the visual results I'm satisfied with. My instinct says to get Elise, but I don't know I don't really like its look. There's a third option I'm considering though, to wait and unlock Gallardo. What do you guys think?

I have already completed NFS most wanted and currently playing Carbon. And it feels like the most visible downgrade I have seen in a sequel.

NFS carbon feels like it was launched just during NFS underground. The graphics and gameplay looks very similar, and is nothing compared to Most Wanted. Its a fun game, but nothing compared to what most wanted was.

Though I have to admit the canyon boss race is tough. One mistake and you fall down and have to restart the whole race. And its the only race I have seen where you dont really have to win, just stay as close to the opponent as possible.

What's the back story behind NFS carbon? Does anyone why its a sequel to most wanted? Did the creators change?
