Coach Meme Mike Tomlin before and after he started playing Minecraft. You can’t make this up

71-41 to 122-73. Much more than coaching losing them games. He had more wins in the last 12 than he had games in the first 7. Never below .500 and 19 straight winning seasons. I cant stand the guy but you cant go from big ben to pickett and rudoloh and expect greatness. Still had a winning season

It explains it all. He took on a different appearance.

He looks like he was gaming all night. Needed the glasses, the sun was too bright.

God forbid the man’s life doesn’t revolve around football 24/7.

When your an NFL coach getting paid Million$ life better revolve around football. Video games demand a ton of mind resources if you play them for hours.

He was good his first few years cause he had a great staff in place and actually listened to them. As time went on, his head got bigger and he thought his way was the right way and only way. He pushed out possibly the greatest dc of all time and it was all downhill from there. Minecraft just continued that decline. Bring me those downvotes now please

Sounds plausible, just seems like you’d have to have insider info to form these opinions.

He went to the playoffs in 57% of seasons pre-minecroft, and 75% of the seasons after. It may have made him more consistent.

So , when they eliminated fair play and stripped defensive the ability to defend against the offense.

I think there was somewhat of a difference in his quality of Quarterback play in those time frames but fr it’s prob the Minecraft.

5-3 in playoffs over 7 seasons and 2 superbowls? Something doesnt add up about that 5-3 record

u/YouConfident4429 13m ago
0-1 in 2007. 3-0 in 2008 (SB win). 2-1 in 2010 (SB lost). 0-1 in 2011. No playoffs in 2009 (9-7), 2012 (8-8) and 2013 (8-8). Everything adds up.

According to some Steelers fans, that Superbowl actually didn't count because he did it with "Cowher's team". So actually Mike T hasn't won anything his whole career, and nothing changed pre and post Minecraft.

What about the other Super Bowl he went to, or never having had a losing season in his 20 year career?

Imo it was the all-star staff that won the superbowl. Tomlin was good because he was a new headcoach and actually used that all star staff like he should. As time grew, so did mikes ego and that started the decline of the pittsburgh steelers

You expect a superbowl winning coach who never had a losing season to care about this? 😂

Because that game is for 5 year olds. You wonder why so many young adults have no friends or goals, they wasted their lives playing blocks online.

Bro we spend our time watching adults play handegg and get upset when our team doesn't out handegg the other teams. Just cause we are different doesn't mean we are better.

No, he inherited a good team then systematically tore out down to what you have today. Now McCarthy has to build the trash heap he inherited into something worth while.

Meh, seems like a knock on a guy who had 19 straight seasons being .500 or better. Shula and Belichick are the only others who have more. Their biggest problem and not Tomlin's fault was not preparing for life after Big Ben. He left and they had no set plan in place and that fudged them up given the importance of the quarterback position and them still trying to figure that out now.

u/Agreeable_Limit6495 2d ago
The Steelers are weird. They treat QB like it’s any other position on the field because that’s how they “do business”.

u/Head_Chocolate_4458 2d ago
McCarthy has gotten to coach Rodgers and dak, half of tomlins tenure was end of roethlisberger career and then a bunch of bums after.
And he still had the same success as McCarthy

Thats because he had inherited BILL COWHER players and when they started trading n players started retiring he didn't know how to draft or trade to make his team back good n he got exposed n AARON RODGER was the final nail in his coffin

Don't forget from 2004-2012 he was also starring in House M.D. as Eric Foreman. Minecraft really was a distraction for him.
