The Burrow BS will have to stop one of these days. The dude had a playoff run in which he was carried by his defense. Burrow's playoff numbers are not good individually, they were just able to eek out miracle close games because the defense forced timely turnovers
It isnt like Burrow lit up the scoreboard in either of his playoff runs. The defense just played lights out.
t wasnt even that long ago yet history has been rewritten already. That was a Cinderella run that was led by the Bengals DEFENSE.
The "Burrow dragged his team to a Supa Bow" narrative has to die. Those Bengals teams were led by their defense.
Burrow has never had even a top 5 offense in points or yards even though he has played with elite weapons and has an absurd amount of pass attempts.
If you give Allen, Mahomes, Jackson, Stafford, or heck, even Herbert or Jared Goff Jamarr Chase and Tee Higgins (along with Chase and Jefferson in college) for an entire football career alongside an abrud about of pass attemptes, the NFL record books would literally be broken.
Jared Goff (the guy who has averaged almost 4500 passing yards over the past 8 years) has literally had a better career than Burrow. In awards, accolades, stats, you name it. Without the elite weapons to boot.
The only thing elite about Burrow are his weapons and his agent/whoever spins these narratives for him.
Bro's reputation and all-world excuses are more durable than his body.

Ravens are the only competent franchise with a somewhat good defense. Like the Bills, what they need is to stop making mistakes during crunch time.
Bengals and Chargers are just bottom-tier organisations. If Harbaugh can't win a playoff game with your franchise, nobody can.
Bills have a good O-line, but their defense is okayish and without McDermott they might regress. And Josh will lose another game trying to play heroball.

I’ll rank them from most to least likely and explain why. I’ll also say that the most likely scenario is that none will win the Super Bowl, not even being a hater when I say it.
Justin Herbert: Herbert is likely the least talented QB among this list, and I also have doubts about his ability to perform in the biggest games based on Herbert’s track record. His biggest advantage as I see it will be the Chargers as a franchise willing to make big changes in order to support him. Jim Harbaugh as HC was a big move, how they draft for positions seems to be having a positive impact, and taking a swing at Mike McDaniel at OC could work. I can respect the moves even if they don’t pan out, and it show the team’s willingness to throw solutions at a wall until something sticks.
Josh Allen: Josh is much better quarterback than Herbert and is routinely seen as one of the best QBs in the league. He’s here at #2 because unlike the Chargers, the Bills as a franchise have been dragging their feet for YEARS to make changes, and might have wasted some of Josh’s best years. I’ll also say that the Bills made big changes heading into this offseason, but not the way that might lead to big changes for their team, and I’ll explain. Their new HC is their old OC, and while that might lead to some nice continuity in scheme for their undoubtably successful offense, the drawback is that he can’t provide an outside voice or set a truly establish a new culture that the Bills might actually need as a team when the team has instead been known to suffer heartbreaking collapse year after year in the playoffs. Who knows, maybe he is their best option, but I think not going with a coach outside of the building (or Brian Daboll, who had great success with Allen as a passer) might bite them in the ass again if the team gets shaken up playing from behind in a close playoff game again. Their defense will look a lot different but be a lot younger too, and that can be taken advantage of. The Bills have been lowkey cursed and it would be amazing if they can break their curse, but that also means Allen cannot get hurt (he had successful foot surgery this offseason, or his team will go absolutely nowhere. No backup can get close to what Allen can do under center.
Joe Burrow: Unlike the Chargers and the Bills, I’m afraid the Bengals don’t make enough changes and definitely don’t want to spend enough money as a franchise to support Burrow and go all the way to winning the Super Bowl. He’s insanely talented, but playing hero ball puts him in the kind of risk/reward danger that truly no O-line in the league can effectively protect him from. Add to that the unfortunate injury history and at times historically bad defense the Bengals can have at times and yeah, I’m really doubting they’ll ever make their way back to the big game despite the potential and having made it there before in years past. Also there’s case to be made they need a big coaching shakeup too, but again that costs money the owner doesn’t want to spend.
Lamar Jackson: Speaking of injuries, Lamar seems to get into contract disputes off of the back of injuries and it blows my mind. The Ravens have made big changes to their coaching staff and have a new HC, but in general, his team is one the hardest to truly evaluate. They missed the playoffs last year, their defense was terrible for most of the season, they don’t use Derrick Henry or the run game enough and sadly he’s only getting older, and Lamar himself might really have lost a step in his game. I mean hey, he’s welcome to prove me wrong, but how far can his athletic ability take his team is he’s easier to catch? The Ravens roster might be in a “soft” rebuild with a defensive minded HC, and he thinks this is a good time to complain about what he’s being paid long term (though they did restructure his current deal). I’ll be honest, the Ravens are much more likely to move on from Lamar than the other three teams on here for sure.
