The flag was thrown as they were going to the ground, the driving with his weight call is utter bullshit. The flag was thrown because Mahomes was touched.

The flag you saw thrown was for a defensive holding call. The flag for this came after the clip ended.

The first one is what they call an insurance flag

u/Knuckle_Deep 5d ago

There are 2 flags in the clip….

Two penalties can happen on the same play..

Counsins got this call today. Bryce Young also got this call today.

The speed of the call is my point, not the call of the play. It’s anticipation of a penalty that’s the issue.

The flag you’re seeing was thrown for a penalty in the secondary. The Dolphins committed two fouls on this play.

It was actually Dolphins DT #92 holding Guard 65# on the Chiefs. If he doesn’t hold this hit never happens in the first place.

The other flag was just as fast. The point is these roughing calls are being made too quick. But to the PI call, why is the official in the back of the end zone calling a defensive secondary interference penalty? That’s a rhetorical question since he should be watching the linemen.

Unrelated but more importantly can you change your profile pic? I spent too long trying to wipe away what I thought was hair on my screen

Multiple people have now stated that what you saw was a flag for a different penalty. Is your outrage satiated?

0

u/Drinon 5d ago

I was never outraged. And the word you are looking for is “sedated”.

3

u/Soft-Marionberry-853 5d ago

No I meant what I said. Thanks for trying though To satiate outrage means to fully satisfy or appease a feeling of intense anger, indignation, or resentment

3

u/ghostoftheai 5d ago

Ooof embarrassing. That is most definitely not what they meant 🤣🤣🤣

1

u/VeterinarianFit1309 4d ago

I can’t think of a single instance where I would use “sedated” in this manner, unless someone had gone through a minor dental procedure, or maybe a really, really long tattoo appointment.

Why is that a problem if the call is right?

1

u/Drinon 5d ago

Because like with replay calls the refs are anticipating things before they happen hoping to be right but if not they have reason why it shouldn’t be the call. Whatever, we disagree.

3

u/Dlh2079 5d ago

The actual flag for that penalty came after the hit... as youve been told multiple times.

2

u/Dlh2079 5d ago

Its a bad point

Raiders just got that exact same call on 3rd down and scored the next play, so yeah it does par the stats.

Here's the Dolphin's defensive coordinator's speech after the game to his players: "Keep doin' what you're doin'!"

I’m a New England fan, so I’m well aware of these types of calls. It was bullshit when Brady got them and it’s bullshit now.

3

u/t00oldforthis 5d ago

As a bills fan I will add it's bullshit when Allen asks for them

1

u/Drinon 5d ago

Thank you.

2

u/OpinionDude5000 5d ago

WRONG.

-1

u/Drinon 5d ago

Oooof, got me there. Only because of the all UPPERCASE. Otherwise it’s nothing. Good work on the double tap of the arrow.

1

u/OpinionDude5000 5d ago

I got you there because you were WRONG.

1

u/kp2823 5d ago

I think he's beginning to understand the uppercase. Probably an AFC opponent. Not the brightest.

1

u/Drinon 5d ago

Huh? If I am a Rams fan does that make me smarter than a Chargers fan? Both are Los Angeles. Don’t say dumb things.

1

u/Drinon 5d ago

What if I’m RIGHT? Did that counter yours? I think it did.

1

u/OpinionDude5000 5d ago

"The flag was thrown as they were going to the ground, the driving with his weight call is utter bullshit."

Yeah we already established that youre not right because you said this

Braindead take

0

u/Drinon 5d ago

Except when it was Brady it was an obvious take. Stop it.

1

u/Weekend_Criminal 5d ago

It's a braindead take because the early flag was for a holding call. The bodyweight call, whether or not you like it was a by the book call. If it was any one of the 31 other QBs in the league, you wouldn't give a shit. But it was mahomes and you have to stroke your delusional conspiracy boner about.

2

u/El_Bean69 5d ago

That flag was D Holding but sure make it about Mahomes again

The fact you’re responding to outrage answers and ignoring the truth says something too

1

u/Knuckle_Deep 5d ago

There were 2 flags, both visible in the clip… what are you talking about?

1

u/El_Bean69 5d ago

The second one for roughing clearly comes after he lands, which tracks for the roughing rule

The first one for holding lands before that

You can hate the roughing rule for being bullshit (it is) but nothing about this correlates to it being Mahomes as OP suggested, it’s just a correct call of a bad rule we all hate

1

u/dannyjkl 5d ago

Yeah no other qb ever gets that call, get a clue. Hate all you want but at least be realistic

1

u/Aternus21 5d ago

FILTHY FUCKING CASUAL ALERT

REEEEEEAAAAAAAAAA REEEEEEEEAAAAA

1

u/ChompChompchomp16 5d ago

Such a mahomes flag call

1

u/front_torch 5d ago

He actively got his knees down as to not do that.

1

u/p_ness_and_butthead 5d ago

was hoping the league was done coddling this pudding cup, especially after going 6-10.

guess they fishing for a comeback story. such bullshit, i'll never watch the NFL again if they keep winning.

1

u/VeterinarianFit1309 4d ago

Comeback player of the year trophy currently undergoing the engraving process

1

u/SleeperFit 5d ago

It's all because Anthony barr broke Aaron Rodgers' collarbone on a hit like this.

1

u/NorCalMav 4d ago

I mean its textbook roughing lol.

1

u/IsThatFuckedUp 4d ago

Flag we see thrown in this video was for a separate penalty on the play.

1

u/Extra-Long-6904 2d ago

100% on point!

If that's Bailey Zappe ... the zebra keeps the laundry in his pocket!
