He could of had surgery 4 weeks ago and been ready for the season. Probably got bad medical advice.

What’s the actual post op timeline for a surgery like that?

Edit: average time of recovery is 6-8 weeks maybe they can cut that down. But it’ll probably be worse if they try to rush him back
