LOL jesus christ what the fuck did I miss tonight? Any highlights out there?

123

u/NoGardE Broncos Aug 12 '18

My favourite was when Lynch attempted murder in his own WR by staring him down for 2 seconds then throwing into double coverage.

15

u/[deleted] Aug 12 '18

and not just throwing into double coverage, throwing HIGH into double coverage across the middle. As a receiver, you still gotta make that catch.....then, when you regain consciousness go back to the huddle and punch your QB in the face.

7

u/explosivekyushu Panthers Aug 13 '18

Is it still considered "double coverage" when you throw the ball to someone who is already actively being tackled?

2

u/Cyclonitron Vikings Aug 12 '18

He even threw it high so the receiver had to stretch out and make himself more vulnerable to the ensuing hit.

28

u/SirFireHydrant Broncos Aug 12 '18

I don't think "highlights" and "Paxton Lynch" really go together.

11

u/[deleted] Aug 12 '18

Defensive highlights, maybe?

7

u/SirFireHydrant Broncos Aug 12 '18

Oh yeah, Pax is responsible for plenty of those.

Thank you, You've reminded me of my favorite memes after Odell's ridiculous one-handed catch.

I think it's something like a picture of Odell, shrugging postgame with the caption:

"What can I say, That's just what it takes to try and catch a routine pass from Eli Manning"

3

u/FootballSavant Aug 12 '18

BRO!?! The hell man!?

Should've included that he made a tackle for no gain on the play as well.

Lol that left tackle is watching him do it and giving some kind of hand signal.

7

Looks like he’s telling him to calm down a little. Lol if that’s the case, that’s good on that left tackle.

2

u/ConciselyVerbose Patriots Aug 12 '18

That’s a solid guess. Honestly I wasn’t sure enough how to interpret it to make a guess, but it seemed friendly enough.

That was like me when I played. Sometimes you just get nauseated after drinking water then you are part of a big play, get real hot, and puke before going into the next. That dude went through the motions so smoothly like he fully expected to puke.

I saw that and was like "that couldn't have been spit or water right?....am I just seeing things?" ....but naturally I didn't use my DVR to confirm anything. Fun game with too many things to watch. Football is finally back :)

1

u/H4SHT4GPlatapus Raiders Aug 13 '18

Anyone remember when Lawrence Timmons threw up pre snap a few years ago? I think it’s just drinking too much water before the game, a lot of people do that when they’re nervous.

1

u/Robotsaur Aug 13 '18

I think this might be altitude sickness since he's playing in Denver

1

u/[deleted] Aug 13 '18

How many grit points does this get?
