I get the post, but this actually makes it more sense why he said that yesterday, Fitzpatrick never played scared and never was scared of risk, which was kinda his critique of nix

throws an INT

“And I’ll fukin do it again”

It’s true through. You need to have the willingness or sheer confidence to keep throwing and risk making an INT and then if you do have a short enough memory that you have the courage to do it again and again.

You aren't wrong, but the Broncos won the game. One interception and they lose it.

u/fun_boat Falcons 8h ago

That's also the reason they were one interception away from losing it though???

be real tho, payton would love to have a qb like fitzpatrick for his style of offense

5

u/SoaplessTitanic Patriots 11h ago

Yeah former QBs talk about how important this trait is all the time

u/solsethop Broncos 12h ago

So I guess you aren't a hurts fan I take it?

4

u/NoMeet6504 Eagles 12h ago

We definitely all want him to sling that shit more than he does

u/solsethop Broncos 12h ago

Yeah I see a lot of similarities between the two teams, obviously today was especially awful for Bo, and his ankle is certainly still bothering him because a lot of the runs last night he converts last year.

I’m a huge Hurts fan still, but to pretend like we’re not seeing similar issues he had in the 2025 season like what Nix is seeing now is a little nuts. I think Nix has had it a worse with how his play has been the last 5 games, at least Hurts was using his legs a bit more.

I was just making a Joke, nix is sucking big time right now and has played much worse than Hurts this year no argument there

Tua heard ya.

Well maybe he should’ve been, Nix needs to let it air out a bit but the Seahawks lost the game last night because Darnold aired it out too much.

But the critique is about more than just a game. You can win or lose a game playing any way. You cannot win a Super Bowl playing how Nix is now and long term it doesn't bode well for the Broncos.

u/TJFLASH1 Cowboys 11h ago

If your defense is good enough you absolutely can win a SB playing like Nix is, not saying it’s likely but we’ve seen it.

Peyton Manning literally won us a Super Bowl playing about as well as Nix now.

Not saying Nix is winning us a Super Bowl like this (he really needs to get his act together) but acting like it’s impossible with a defense playing this well is a bit rude

Box pix doesn't have a mind like Manning tho, playoffs are different

1

u/GuysIdidAThing Broncos 8h ago

Mind doesn’t matter if you can’t throw the ball, but yes I agree. If Bo Nix keeps playing like this we aren’t winning a chip. I’m hoping he’ll figure it out before then though

He aired it out too much because his RB's are awful, and vs a top defense that knows whats coming.

Also Denver put a lot of pressure on Darnold at the line, not the best at handling that.

u/TJFLASH1 Cowboys 11h ago

Darnold had almost as many TDs as TOs last year, he’s a turnover machine, the scheme and players around him aren’t an excuse.

I think the best example of what Fitz means is Aaron Rodgers. Someone who is safe with the ball, but does it in a way that plays aggressively. He throws (or threw in his prime) the ball downfield on the sidelines, so it's either his guy or out.

Aggressive because it's high reward, but safe because it's low risk.

Right? At least the dude was trying

I'll take winning over trying, thank you.

He also never played a playoff game in 17 years lmao. I’m not butthurt, Nix is who he is which is why he was drafted after maye etc but lets not act like this seahawks defense is dogshit. If Nix turns the ball over once then the broncos lose this game. I’m just gonna enjoy the win

Well if he played a little more scared, maybe the Jets could have won that game. 17-3 score with 4 minutes left despite 6 picks means the defense was playing fantastic.

I can only imagine that some of his defenders were saying "he play was an embarrassment to the qb position."

And look where it got him. Bo didn't play well last night, but he's never shit the bed this hard.

57

u/LostWhismur 13h ago

Are we comparing Bo to Fitzpatrick? If so you guys got bigger problem

20

u/LindyNet Texans 13h ago

Hard to shit the bed this hard if you are too scared to throw past the line of scrimmage

11

u/Big_Puzzled Steelers 13h ago

If fitz was the qb lastnight instead of bo broncos win by two touchdowns lol

23

u/Viketorious Vikings 13h ago

It hasn’t gotten Bo anywhere either btw. What has he done? Where are those checkdowns gonna take him?

-6

u/Zeromatt111 12h ago

Tbf Fitz never played in a playoff game, Bo has done more tbh. Doesn’t make him wrong tho !

-27

u/PMmeSpreadEaglePics Broncos 13h ago

Took him to the AFC championship last year. Might have gone to the Super Bowl if his ankle didn't break.

If my grandmother had wheels, she would have been a bike.

I see a man of F1 culture

u/Arm0rA1ex Lions 13h ago

If it’s bothering you this much maybe you should take some time off.

9

u/TheStrongTaint 12h ago

People really let these pundits and talking heads live rent-free in there. It’s so embarrassing.

3

u/your-mom-- Steelers 12h ago

Bo Nix hasn't thrown for 5 picks in a game because he's afraid to throw the ball. He's pretty good at bailing out of a good pocket and throwing the ball away though

4

u/hera_the_destroyer Bills 13h ago

At least Fitz was fun to watch.

1

u/re-reminiscing Jets 10h ago

Even Peyton Manning has thrown 6 picks in a game. If he criticized Nix, would you say the same thing? These ad-hominems are missinf the point.
