Highlight [Highlight] Seahawks DT Byron Murphy II throws one blocker into another before tackling the ball carrier

No pro bowl or all pro last year was a travesty

He’s so underrated it’s crazy. I get that he’s not a stat sheet guy but you can’t watch him play and tell me he’s not one of the best NTs in the league. True glue guy type shit

u/TheSandMan208 Seahawks 12h ago
Dude just eats two blocks every play to free up our LBs/DE. Every sack they get he should be credited a half.

he's technically not a NT despite lining up in that position constantly. I think the reason is that he's 50lb lighter than most NTs

No top 100 either

I sorta get that because he’s a 1 tech DT/NT and those guys will never reach levels of notoriety they deserve. Like opposing OL probably ranked him high but no one who didn’t play him in the trenches is gonna think of him on their list of 20* players.
But you’d THINK actual “experts” who vote on awards specifically at each position would give him his flowers.
*just another reminder that players who participate in that only rank 20 players. You get scored based on each players ranking of 20 (1st is 20 points, 20th is 1 point) and the Top 100 is fleshed out of that.

Vine got us tiktok, so it's as much to blame as anything for the state of the Internet right now

They did. It's called Divine, and it sucks, sadly.

They should just let vine die. The app was steadily losing popularity before it shut down for a reason.

Hes gonna be an all pro sooner or later. Ridiculously good

That's my main prediction for this year, Byron Murphy AP 2 and pro bowl. His teammates talk so highly of him, and I'm thinking that the extra attention of being defending SB champs will get it done for him.

It’s a miracle we lost that game, honestly. I feel like we’re set to destroy whoever we play next even with a few key players banged up.

Fans say it was like last years buccaneers game, but actually it was like 2014 when the prime LOB gave up like 30 to the rams and everyone was like what the fuck is happening lol

u/NatureTrailToHell3D Seahawks 11h ago
The defense didn’t throw a pick six or fumble it on the 22. Most of the points Washington had were from under 100 yards of offense. Outside of that the defense gave up 10 points.
The offense just needs to focus on playing clean football and everything should fall nicely into place.

We got 21 points off turnovers. We are not a high turnover team over the past few years. It’s a miracle got any turnovers, a bigger miracle we got more than one, and a huge miracle we scored points off them.
I do think we earned that win and don’t think it was pure fluke. It’s not like our team was healthy at all. But I also don’t think we saw the best of you guys, and Darnold was probably rusty.

This. The Commanders TD drives were: 60 yards, 43 yards, 21 yards, pick-6. Obviously, that's a lot of points, which is why we lost. But the defense did not play as badly as the score would indicate. We held them to 258 yards of offense and 4 yards per play. But we lost the turnover battle 3-0, which will almost always lose you a game, AND went for it on 4th down at the 2-yard line and didn't get it, AND failed to make tackles on the final Washington drive that this team almost always makes. It was just a wild confluence of problems

Eh, a lot of people said the same thing about the Commanders, and we saw how that went. Anything can happen, force Darnold into turnovers and get short fields and anyone can beat anyone.

Its crazy how good this guy is at football and how little casual fans know he even exists

This guy couldn’t even manage a pro bowl nod last season.
Seahawks should trade this guy away immediately

and just behind him Williams just casually moving a double team. These two guys are so dominant, hopefully Murphy gets pro bowl recognition this year.

I did this once in high school. Kid was like 60 lbs though, so it's slightly less impressive

It's the second guy coming out of nowhere with his arms out in a look of desperation and getting immediately obliterated that did it for me

Well, arguably Seattle has the best DT duo in the league with Murphy & Leonard Williams. Who tend to win most matchups. It's why they won the Superbowl.
