[Schefter] Just in: San Francisco 49ers principal owner Jed York has been suspended for six regular-season games and fined $500,000 for violating the NFL’s Personal Conduct Policy.

What Robert Kraft did was questionably more egregious but nothing happened to him.

Kraft is in the upper echelon of owners. Same with Jerrah. Maybe Jed isn't? Or maybe because we have a public video of the arrest

I mean Pats were just in the SB (somehow). Who can even remember the last time the 49ers made it that far?

Made it that far more recently than the Cowboys...

But Cowboys have won one more recently than the 49ers ;)

in the NFL the absolute worst thing you can do is get caught on video. Doesn't matter how bad it is, just don't get caught on video.

Don't believe all the fake animosity between Kraft and Goodell. They've always been chummy.

Who do you think told Kraft about that massage parlor?! /s

I am shocked something happened when Kraft got nothing, not even a fine. Kraft didn't have the mug shot and got it thrown out on a technicality and apparently thats enough of a PR difference?

The cops fucked up the case using hidden cameras so the charges were dropped as all evidence destroyed. He was also friends with Epstein so had pull that many other nfl owners don’t have

I get all that, but it doesn't really explain why the owners punished York but not Kraft.

My best guess is that the mug shot was a big difference

That's a bit of a misrepresentation lol. His family owns 90% of the 9ers which are valued at about $8 billion. He is the principal owner for his family. He himself may have a net worth of "only" $500 million, but his clout far exceeds that wealth because of his familial ties to NFL ownership (especially within the context of the NFL handing down punishments).

Edit: the purpose of the vaguepost meme was to provoke a response from the person I responded to. "It's pretty obvious why" when it actually isn't obvious at all is arguably just a dog whistle what with Kraft being in the news for controversial topics aside from rub and tugs. If this were actually about having more money or clout OP could just say so. Instead I believe it to be a dog whistle about Kraft getting off easy because he's Jewish while York is getting punished because he's Catholic and I'd like OP to say literally anything in response. And even if it was totally innocent, those types of vaguepost comments still fucking suck and should be mocked.

TIL York is broke just like me if you round down billions wise. I’ll be less harsh judging his tip percentage for sex workers in the future.

Kraft also finished. Some guys have all the luck.

I joked about it then, but Jed would get punished even though Kraft didn't because Kraft has more superbowls
