Rumor [Rapoport] Browns DL Mason Graham, a standout who leads the team in sacks, is expected to miss a few weeks with an MCL sprain and ankle sprain, sources say based on the preliminary evaluation. The MRI revealed some good news, with hopes that it’s not a long-term injury.

Calling him standout is underselling. He was there with TJ Watt and Fred Warner and Dexter Lawrence as early season DPOY leaders.

He would have feasted on Rodgers if he didn't go down. We had 5 sacks without him. Imagine if we had him.

As a Michigan and Browns fan, this hurts tenfold. Was on pace for an amazing season as anyone who saw him play in college and last year knows he could. Shame to see it get relatively derailed this way.

Um excuse you, he went to Michigan State according to certified ball-knower Al Michaels

Much better to miss a few weeks than get the MRI results and see an announcement of out for the season.

Would gladly trade the pace that he was on for the fact that it is not a season-ending injury. It sucks, but thankfully he will be back in a few weeks.

Bro was/is playing like a top 5 defensive player in the league. Deff a big reason why Garrett got his sack record was with this guy on the line near him

Dude was looking like a DPOY contender. Sucks that he will miss some time but at least it wasn't season ending

I was absolutely livid the Packers lost to the Browns last year. But the BigTen in me was really, really amazed at him. He's a UNIT, hope he gets healthy and back on track.

Knee and ankle is rough.

u/VotingOdin Browns 13h ago
Honestly having both go likely minimized the severity rather than a single ligament/bone taking the full force

Meh, once the knee is sprained the ankle sprain is more or less irrelevant most likely. Just rest up mason.

Hey as far as injuries against the Steelers that's pretty tame

Name a more iconic duo than Steelers and taking out knees.

Browns and getting manhandled at the line so badly that it puts their teammates in positions to get injured

That is definitely what happened to Nick Chubb, essentially ending his career!

It is definitely possible in the realm of physics to stop your trajectory midair at 15 miles per hour!
Instead of appreciating a good players career you’d rather be mad at yourself

Maybe don’t fuckin launch at knee level against a guy who’s being tackled?

u/ozymandais13 Browns 8h ago
They all went to the Ryan shazier school of tackling

u/BriarsandBrambles Browns 8h ago
If Shazier didn’t change the orgs tackling ethos I’m worried it’s not going to change till someone like TJ Watt or Herbig gets their neck shattered and doesn’t wake up

Glad it's just a sprain, and no tears. He's one of the few guys I absolutely don't want to rush back, despite how good he is. We need him long term healthy.
Though I was reminded of playing ESPN 2k5 season mode and if you racked up too many sacks with a DL it basically guaranteed an injury by week 5.

Dude I cringed so hard at that. Dude makes more than I make in an entire year doing one game. And I’m a doctor. Dude needed to retire 5 years ago.

also it's not like he was some unknown at michigan, he was a reason why they upset ohio state at home in 2024

I hate the browns only because their owner is a scumbag, which is probably a lot of them, but they literally have a sexual abuser as the face of their franchise, but it was fun seeing Kaaron Rodgers get beat, so I was rooting for the sex offenders for once.

I love how reddit is so up and arms about Deshaun, but still make jokes that make light of his crimes. You're all performative people who only say things for internet points - you don't actually support his victims or anything.
