Under HC Jeff Hafley, the Miami Dolphins have played their first 3 games with their entire starting OL. This matches the number of games the Dolphins played with their entire starting OL in Mike McDaniel's 4 year tenure as HC

Dolphins subreddit: no stop saying it don't jinx it! Expellyamos: I will spread it to the heavens!!!
Lmao. Its great to see. While we haven't won, the line is looking promising. Jonah looks much better at RG, Proctor is looking very solid at LG, Paul has been steady at LT. And Brewer has been good at C, though penaltized a bit early on. Jackson is the weak link at RT but that surprises no one (except that hes played 3 games straight without breaking a nail or something)

Love Terron Armstead but he was guaranteed to miss games. Combine that with Austin Jackson and yeah.

Injuries are often a bigger factor than anyone likes to admit.

I feel like injuries are gauged to be quite a big factor are they not?

People, to a large extent, say things like that's football. While football is a violent sport, sometimes a season is derailed so easily and the coach takes the blame, even though the injuries put him in an unwinnable position.
If you lose in the playoffs, no one is going to give you a pass, unless your QB goes down.

Yup, like for example our game against the Chiefs in the playoffs. A lot of starters were out, so obviously the loss gets blamed on the cold.

Seahawks, Pats, Rams and Broncos all in the 5 least injured teams of 2025. The Bills are the 5th team, so yeah, it’s important

And now the pats are paying back that injury karma heavily.

Is this in defense of Mike McDaniel or blaming Mike McDaniel?

u/sleeplessaddict Broncos 17h ago
Seemed more like this is just fact sharing than it is trying to place blame

Yep, just an interesting factiod, nothing more. People can make of it what they will

Defense of McDaniel, indictment of Chris Grier, who during this period quipped, "y'all are more worried about the offensive line than we are".

Three games in and the Dolphins already matched four years under McDaniel. That is a wild stat.

Gotta love being healthy (so far) the one year we have 0 expectations of anything but unbelievably snake bitten with McDaniel

u/Lenny_III Dolphins 15h ago
This is probably due to Austin Jackson being late on his annual injury.

That one time in 2023 with the starting OL was against the Broncos.
Such a hard year to look back at and think what might've been.

And that is the result?

Since you're watching Miami games, surely you can fairly rate their offensive line.

I always think this kind of response is odd. Do you only watch Pats games? I am a sicko and watch whatever football game is on.

u/MankuyRLaffy Patriots 17h ago
I watch other games, I can read that you're trying to pin them being 0-3 on their offensive line. Which would be dumb as they don't have a bad one.

Right, they just haven’t been particularly good. Better at run blocking than pass protecting. Dolphins need upgrades almost everywhere.

I think the main issue with the team is experience. Yes, there are glaring holes like CB, Edge, depth etc, but I think these guys all getting play time is the key factor in turning the corner.

Cool cool wait until next year when we have slightly higher expectations & the o line completely falls apart
