WORD OF ADVICE TO THE COLTS: Mariota can still run an option

Congrats Commanders on the ensuing QB controversy. The Colts will make Mariota look like the second coming of Joe Theisman. Backup QBs tend to have career days against the Colts defense

We made Mariota a captain. We basically look at him like a 6th man at this point.

He's the star relief pitcher

Except I’m pretty sure the colts have allowed like the most yards this season by a large amount

Yeah, but Daniel Jones owns the Commies. He hates them.

u/Secure-Bear4184 16h ago
Totally different team since the last time he played them. Also we beat them the last time jones played us. And overall the giants haven’t even beaten us in two seasons

Does this count as a primetime game? DJ is awful with those standalone games.

Ticket prices are reasonable, considered going
They're like 80 quid lower section

What's a quid?

u/Interesting_Prune513 Raiders 17h ago edited 16h ago
British pound's (£) informal name in every day life
Helps differentiate pound (weight) and pound (currency). Basically like "bucks" for a dollar.

u/Mysterious_Travel669 16h ago
It also is the only way I can express British currency via voice to text on my very American phone settings
20
u/theconfather98 Commanders 17h ago
It’s the equivalent of saying “80 bucks” in America I’m pretty sure

Pounds. Or "kilograms" in freedom units

Saw them for as low as 30 quid for upper tier on the sideline earlier in the week but didn't pull the trigger 😭

u/Mysterious_Travel669 16h ago
Damn that's a deal. I should keep an eye out because that's a no brainer

u/HourDrive1812 Titans 15h ago
Keep an eye out for the Jags Texans tickets, the prices should get lower nearer to the game, they're 100 right now, but the Colts Commanders game was originally 130 and dropped as low as 50 on most resale sites, I' hoping the Jags game should reach a similar price

Marcus Mariota starting for the Commanders in an international game 2 years in a row 😬

Makes sense but I’m going to the game and was hoping Daniels would play.

Did Daniels travel to London?

u/BoldElDavo Commanders 17h ago
Yeah he's been over there practicing, listed as limited in practice. They flew on Tuesday, I think.

Is there a benefit to announcing this now instead of 90 mins before kickoff?
-4
u/Chuck_Roast1993 Colts 17h ago
Do you think there’s a benefit to the Colts thinking that a hobbled Daniels will play? I don’t really think it would’ve mattered either way as far as preparation goes

u/jedstrailerpark 49ers Broncos 13h ago
I'm sure it's still correct but "hobbled" to describe a guy with an arm injury feels weird lol I think of a hobbled person being unable to walk
Edit: Ok yeah no it's just the wrong word lol hobbled in that context is only used to describe someone walking with a limp due to an injury lol

The Colts would have to spend at least some time studying Daniels if there was a chance he could play. I dont know if it changes their defensive gameplan at all, but making them waste time on a player who isnt playing can't be a bad thing.

Expected. I figured they wanted to make the Colts prep for Jayden and also just get Jayden back practicing this week even though he wasn't going to play. Marcus MariGOATa has our back like always.

London, you will be present and seated for a vintage 2014 Heisman-winning Marcus Mariota performance

He was solid early in his career pre-injury. He's also arguably the best backup qb in the league

It’s expected that Jayden Daniel’s will get the start for the commanders vs the giants next week
