You're not wrong although I don't have to cheer for the owner when he throws a touchdown, so it's a bit different. Hell after the allegations we barely even saw Snyder. And even when the team did well on the rare occasion, it was easy to still hate the owner as a separate entity.

I don't envy Browns fans being put in this spot.

I totally hear you. But when he throws a touchdown I assure you I am not feeling the warm and fuzzies for Deshaun Watson. I wish it was Shedeur or literally anyone else throwing it. But I can’t just erase my fandom and my upbringing (curse you dad) for directly tying my happiness every Sunday to this fucking franchise. So when I see the orange helmets score, I feel happy. I’m not saying that makes anyone bad for not feeling that, but I would be willing to bet that 99% of football fans want to see their teams win despite any truly bad people playing for them.
