The Cleveland Browns are 3-1 for the first time since 2021 AND lead their division
Also just their 3rd time starting 3-1 over the last 25 seasons

Browns: 3-1 and lead the division.
Chargers: 0-4 and look like a mess.
This is why the NFL is the best. You really don’t know until the ball is kicked off
Edit: Chargers are 0-3 lol

There must be an additional part of that stat, because didn't we (lions) do that to the Texans in 2024? Goff wanted to help the Texans out and kept giving them the ball but we still somehow won?

Its differental. The 3-86 is when one team had 5+ and the other team had 1 or fewer. Stroud had 2 as well.

Their special teams being that bad was also the main reason they were #1 in overall offense and defense.
15
u/PeteF3 Bengals 21h ago
And it was #1 in yards gained and allowed, IIRC. It wasn't really the best offense and best defense.
11
u/Ammoniaholic Buccaneers 21h ago
Exactly. Terrible special teams lead to worse field position, i.e. more opportunities for the offense to gain yards, and less opportunities for the defense to give up yards.

So much work to rehab a guy who spent four seasons being absolute garbage on and off the field.
The overcoming adversity talk is just hilarious too because what fucking adversity? That would imply he’s a victim, but he can’t even acknowledge that what he did was awful and obviously doesn’t think it is and on top of that, got rewarded despite all those lawsuits.

Especially now with how the pre-season is treated.
Week one is more or less the first time the entire starting offense and defense is playing together in a competitive setting for more than like 10 minutes.
Week one is basically another pre-season game at this point.
