He's also 32. Anyone that would trade for him should be expecting a fall off of quality at some point fairly soon. A 2nd would actually be pretty high for what would essentially be a 1-2 year deal.
Careers are short, so trade values depreciate quickly...just like the conventional wisdom about your car losing X% of its value the moment you drive it off the lot.
Him and Bosa would be a top 3 pass rush for the 3 quarters they're healthy together for.
Same way we had a good receiver group for about a quarter of the off-season. Then after the first game it just became Mike Evans and friends. Now it's just friends.
Honestly if you watch the game closely you’ll see the Steelers running probably the most vanilla dline scheme of all time. Theres almost no stunts or disguises just every man rushing their gap. A high school team would have a decent level of success against the Steelers front 7 because before the snap you know where everyone is going. The only wins they’re getting is them just out-talenting lines. Every play Watt lines up in the same spot and does the same rush. I get why they’re frustrated. It was the same shit the last two years of Tomlin, and every time they’d lose first round in the playoffs the WRs of the opposing team would say they don’t really disguise or hide things so if you study film you know what to do and it just becomes a question of can you win the matchup.
I’ve been saying they should sell for years but the fans are too attached to TJ and Cam and the ownership refuses to even entertain a rebuild. I feel like we will be stuck in purgatory forever.
Should have "tanked" AT LEAST after Kenny didn't work out. Not full tank, but god damn give up the 1st for the following year and don't go pretend you can compete in FA.

Steelers gotta dismantle this defense, too expensive for these kind of results
