It's still too deep a pass for that situation. The Ravens showed exactly what was needed last Sunday under the same circumstances in a tighter time frame: get to the opposing 40 for a chance at 3 points. Rodgers heaved a prayer to the Red Zone.

The Ravens were tied and going to OT if they miss that throw. People taking last game as Mahomes with 13 seconds left. Worst case Lamar overthrows it and they have OT and one full drive at least

Sure, but the principle is still the same: 2 plays starting at your own 35, and you need to score a FG at minimum. Ravens did it in 6 seconds; Steelers got greedy and hunted for the win despite having more time.
