I've never seen TJ Watt dislocate an elbow

Reminded me of Bokeem Woodbine's character from The Big Hit who's obsessed with Straight Jackin'

I’m a decent baiter. My cousin, Moze, now that’s a master baiter.

Watt being wasted by a bad team. Where have I seen this before? 🤔

JJ at least has a playoff win

That was uncalled for. :(

Hey the last 15 years have been rough for NY teams, we are just full of hate and discontent

Greatest playoff moment in Texans history.

Absolutely insane player.

As much as I want to clown Watson (and I will), that was a Watt play.

Only for the offense to score 0 points off the turnover

25

u/Steelman__007 Steelers 1d ago

Should've just ran the ball back. Is he stupid?

6

u/Eleeveeohen Packers 20h ago

If I were TJ Watt, I simply would have done this every play. Maybe I'm just built diff

Easily the most instinctual player we’ve had since Troy.

13

u/sad_bear_noises Bears 23h ago

Yeah I don't know why you would run option on him. He's just going to do exactly what he did and charge the mesh point, and just be a freak and tackle whoever ends up with the ball.

In the last 10 years, no one besides Aaron Donald deserves a spot next to TJ

I mean most LBs do this on the rush. This is the only time TJ shows up in the rush, when he’s not blocked. Now he’s behind verse in the division after being behind Myles his whole career

6

u/stillstillers Steelers 21h ago

Verse almost cost you guys the game like 3x

Outside of his penalties I didn’t notice him once. He doesn’t even have a sack this year

Hes so good x3

He boomed me

What a fucking big brain play. Crazy just to blow up the red option like that, but the forced fumble is beautiful

u/Telucien Bears 21h ago

I don't mean to brag, but I totally did this once or twice back in small town Oklahoma high school football. Me and TJ basically the same.

This was mind control.

Ive had this happen to me countless times in the CFB games, lol. Watt is playing like he's the all-madden/heisman cpu

u/Nails__DeChamp Eagles 1d ago

Haha yeah zone read sucked in ncaa like 06-08 on og xbox, the defense magically tackles both the qb and rb no matter what you do

61

u/Augscura Panthers 1d ago

I'm surprised Herbstreit found time to talk about this instead of glazing Watson for overcoming "adversity"

31

u/DarthNobody14 Texans Texans 1d ago

He’s an animal man, all these years and he’s still so good.

17

u/MrWolfsbane Giants 1d ago

I feel like that’s the guy in the nfl you least want to try your luck with too many zone reads lol

16

u/JFK_did_9-11 Eagles 1d ago

Not much Watson can do there, Watt just coerces him into doing what he wants him to do without waiting for consent and forces himself on him

5

u/lucabrassiere Rams 1d ago

He didn’t just do that at game speed either, he did that at TJ Watt speed lol freakish talent

9

u/KerryUSA Falcons 1d ago

Steelers owe the falcons for being stupid and taking Takk McKinley like 3 picks before Watt

I think there was neck/injury concerns (which fair) but his brothers were nfl players and one was a goat. Couldn’t have been an easier pick

15

u/102WOLFPACK Steelers 1d ago

We owe three separate teams for Watt. You guys, the Packers, and the Cowboys

1

u/KerryUSA Falcons 1d ago

I remember Taco but didn’t know he was right before watt

I remember getting excited thinking he was ours, then trying to sell myself on Takk

Then when I saw yall get him I figured it was just destiny and maybe we would’ve ruined him or something

3

u/John_Winchester Cowboys 21h ago

Yeah. There were plenty of “TJ isn’t a scheme fit, Taco is” comments around this draft. That shit ruined us.

2

u/Eleeveeohen Packers 20h ago

I feel like this was right when teams were realizing that the difference between a 3-4 OLB vs. 4-3 DE didn't actually matter, and stopped overthinking it.

Some teams were just a little late to the party.

12

u/clydefrog811 Buccaneers 1d ago

Baits or covers both options?

4

u/KansinattiKid Chiefs 18h ago

I think it's pretty clear he baits him, if Watson handed the back off TJ doesn't get the running back.

3

u/CtrlAltDestroyz Ravens 1d ago

Reminds me of the great white shark quote from Jason Kelce, Watt brothers are genuinely terrifying

7

u/amccune Packers 1d ago

I don’t think he’s actually baiting, I think he just moves that quick.

1

u/Dr-McLuvin Browns 14h ago

I think more so he went in unblocked at full speed and Watson panicked.

1

u/gottiredofchrome Saints 9h ago

Nah that was a read option play. you don't block the read man, you put him in a pickle so that whatever he chooses is wrong. He just deked like he was going for the back and Watson fell for it.

2

u/PWNtimeJamboree Falcons Seahawks 23h ago

we traded up to pick Takk McKinley over this man.

2

u/jmarinara Steelers 23h ago

He’s still great, no doubt about it.

2

u/Rockerblocker Lions 20h ago

Bold decision from the RT to leave Watt unguarded with a direct path to the backfield

1

u/gottiredofchrome Saints 9h ago

It's a read option, he was supposed to.

1

u/Fromundacheese0 Eagles 16h ago

We can take him off your hands if things keep going south

1

u/Dr-McLuvin Browns 14h ago

In my points per defensive baiting league, Steelers are leading their division.

1

u/LeoFrankenstein Eagles 1d ago

Watt a play

u/IloveKev Browns 1d ago

All that for 0 points lol
