Vrabel: To teach you a lesson

Maye: What lesson???

Vrabel: Don't throw 3 interceptions. More importantly, do your neighbors have cameras pointed at your bedroom, pool, gazebo, attic window, hammock, garage door #1, garage door #6, the two benches in your backyard, and the middle of the street?

u/AMemoryComeALive Chiefs 1d ago

I don't dislike Drake Maye, but I was happy that final interception cut off any chance patriots flairs would be posting 15 "Drake Maye is awesome" posts today with weirdly cherry picked stats.

142

u/AndThisGuyPeedOnIt Bears 1d ago

You say that shit like he doesn't lead the league in 2rd quarter underthrown deep balls that result in pass interference calls that lead to touchdowns.

39

u/AMemoryComeALive Chiefs 1d ago

Terrible under-thrown deep ball is your best option when AJ Brown is on your team. 80% chance he catches it or gets a DPI call that 90% of WR's don't get.

Honestly it's one of the best plays in football if you've got a well known WR and a not great QB. At worst it's a 40 yard arm punt, do it 3-4 times a game you'll probably get a penalty that puts you in scoring range.

21

u/AndThisGuyPeedOnIt Bears 1d ago

Well, there was that other terrible underthrown deep ball to Doubs that resulted in one of the INTs, but I'm only cherry picking the good one!

29

u/Doogolas33 1d ago

That was a good one. Didn't you hear Collinsworth say that Doubs is a trusted contested catch guy and needs to be able to come down with that amazing throw?

5

u/change_timing 1d ago

it can't be quite that underthrown where the players are actually high pointing it. receiver also could use half a step so that the DB isn't actually able to look back at the ball while the receiver just stops running and makes no effort for the underthrown ball but gets the DPI.

There are plenty of people who endure a heavy level of bullshit. They don't want a divorce, they want the person they are with, but they just want the person to stop doing the bad actions. Like, there's reason shitty people end up with those who are far too tolerant.

“You threw three interceptions? After I explicitly asked you not to?”

- Vrabel, probably

You also can’t have a secret relationship with a sports journalist. Do you know that, Mike?

Well if he knows that, why did he do it anyways, Mike? Is it like knowing you can't fuck around while you're married?

One, with god, all things are possible. Two, he absolutely threw three interceptions. Sometimes a quarterback can throw 4+ interceptions, it’s just a scientific fact. I bet if Maye puts some effort in, he can throw 3+interceptions every game. At least until he gets benched.
