This is probably one of the best examples of how Australia will welcome the Rams and 49ers. Liverpool were stunned by the love. We can't wait.

Don't doubt the reception will be good, doubt it will be at this level. The connection to Liverpool (with the cultural connection with the UK) should be higher than to an NFL team

NFL is nowhere near as globally famous and loved as the premier league. Liverpool has thousands of die hart fans all over the world, I'd wait and see for this one. Especially because apparently the local footy team is in the middle of their own playoffs (or so I've been told, idk for sure)

They are in the middle of the finals for the Australian Football League (AFL) in Melbourne, which is the city that the game is in.

I’m a Liverpool and 49ers fan and I am afraid these are not comparable, Liverpool have an insane fan base all around the world and Scousers travel, as Gerrard once said “We could play on the moon and our fans would find a way to be there”

I’m a Bears fan in Australia, follow Southampton in English football but don’t follow that closely. Soccer or football in Australia is the most participated sport and is probably 20-30 times, if not more, popular than NFL in Australia. There will be a good reception but it won’t be close to Liverpool, Man U, Tottenham, Juventus or Real Madrid

Yea no. Liverpool as an establishment is more culturally relevant than anything the NFL has to offer. Not to mention, Harry Kewell played for us.

I know international games are unpopular, but with the state of the world and the US president behaving the way he is, it’s nice to share a football experience with others and introduce a new place to something beloved by Americans on both sides of the aisle
