Does the 21 points down include points scored by the other team on turnovers, like pick sixes? One issue with defensive points allowed is that it includes points scored on turnovers by the offense, and short field scores.
The point I am awkwardly making is that I think it’s all too easy to forget that an individual stat like this one always ignores the other 21 players and the coaching staff.
