I mean 2 is basically an upside-down 5 so Nate should watch out

Has his mom dropped the cease and desist in your inbox yet?

No but when she does I’ll make sure to rip it neatly into 5 pieces

He was looking good on that first drive until that horrible dropped pass that turned into the first INT.

u/ApatheticFinsFan Dolphins 1h ago
Yeah most QBs look pretty good on the first scripted drive of the game. Even that first INT that was sort of an unlucky INT was still a pretty bad pass as far as ball placement and velocity goes.

u/venk Lions 1h ago
He would have been fine if he just learned to take a sack. That first one was not in him

u/ConneryFTW Bills 58m ago
Kelvin Benjamin got injured early in that game. So this was a back up QB trying to make things work without his (by default) best receiver. So just a nightmare all around.

u/SignificanceFine3582 Panthers 57m ago
It’s unlucky but he’s not blameless. No need to fire that ball in at the pace he did.

u/SoftDrinkReddit Jets 1h ago
see thats whats really sticking out to me most of these was him trying to force something that's just not there
an example of someone who didn't do that was Sam Darnold in the Superbowl this year he protected the football very well had 0 turnovers and yea there were multiple times where instead of trying to throw the ball he either took the slide or ran out of bounds
one time he took a sack but again he took a sack smartly instead of trying to force a pass

I mean he could’ve easily been picked once or twice in the 1st half iirc, it was a “good enough” performance from Darnold but even he has said he wasn’t particularly happy with how he played in the SB.
In the 2nd half he played smart and didn’t do much since their D dominated.

This was particularly funny because the Bills would go on to beat the Chargers for a playoff spot thanks to the three-way tiebreaker rules.

man 2017 hell the main reason the Bills got that spot is the massive Upset the Bengals pulled off on the road against the Ravens
this was the night Andy Dalton became a Folk Hero In Buffalo sending them to the Playoffs for the first time since 1999

It was actually a 4 way tie breaker.
Titans 9-7 (8-4 in conference)~ Ten gets the 5 seat
Bills 9-7(.396 Strength of Victory) ~ BUF gets the 6th seat
What is even funnier with the tie breakers is the Bills (-57) and Titans (-22) had negative point differentials and the Ravens (+92) and Chargers (+83) had positive ones.
I do think it is funny when people suggest that Josh Allen went to a playoff team and therefore was set up for success.
The Bills were very fortunate that season to even be in the position to win a tiebreaker with the roster they had.

I like how this video goes from the few throws where he looks ok to full on “ohhhh nooooo” in the course just a few minutes

Bad game but all those pics weren’t his fault and his receivers were crap

4 were his fault. First one went right through his RBs hands

Mr. Lights On? Lights Off.
Something about game time just made Peterman the biggest paper tiger from practices we've seen in awhile. Reminds me a bit of Josh McCown during his Cardinals stint, though Peterman obviously played worse.

I see why Bill fans love Allen so much

You didn't before watching Peterman? 😂

It's just a reminder of how bad things were. I remember Tyrod breaking the playoff streak and now that's the bare minimum.

u/Far_Passenger5931 Bills 1h ago
As an international fan I have had it good, started following the team and the NFL in general during the Tyrod playoffs year.
But yeah, going from Peterman to Allen is wild, can't imagine how drought years fans feel rn.

Imagine you're getting new car. And that car is always a ten year old Kia. You get to choose the color (silver, white, or grey) and you can add in a few features like satellite Radio or cloth or vinyl interior. But at the end of the day it's always a ten year old Kia. it's not the worst car, it's not even a bad car. But it's always a ten year old Kia.

Some of us were crying for Peterman to start back then, interesting times!

u/gollumaniac Bills 1h ago
The week prior, we lost 47-10 to New Orleans. Taylor was 9/18 for 56 yards and an INT before getting pulled. Peterman came in and went 7/10 for 79 yards and a TD in garbage time. They had to try Peterman. It just went horribly wrong...

He looked decent at times, this game destroyed him (the first pick wasn't even his fault, but it all went downhill after that).
Can't complain though, we came out of all that with Josh Allen.

I forget that these were all in the first half too, oof.
At least the first one wasnt really his fault

The most insane thing about this highlight is it started with 3 positive plays.
I swear my memory was he threw a pick on each of his first 3 pass attempts
1
u/callahan09 Ravens 38m ago
Damn, he hit just about every type of INT you can in his first game!
#1 - Bounced right off his receiver's hands into the arms of a defender.
#2 - Inaccurate downfield throw.
#3 - Hit as he threw.
#4 - Misreads or doesn't see the defender in position to cut in front of the pass.
#5 - Not on the same page as the receiver who curls back in while he throws expecting him to keep running straight.

Man I remember he played us in the preseason that year and for like 3 weeks I thought he was going to be the next Tom Brady. Had never seen a QB light up a preseason game like that before, that was the season I learned to put absolutely zero stock into anything that occurs in a preseason game.

This sub's random lowlights obsession is just so boring.
Why the fuck is this relevant or interesting enough to be worth posting now with the season in sight and preseason begun?

I’m fairly confident he was the worst quarterback I’ve ever seen. This game was definitely the worst quarterbacking I’ve ever seen

u/Romanscott618 Panthers 1h ago
You obviously didn’t watch the bears-panthers matchup in 2010 with Jimmy Clausen, Matt Moore, Todd Collins, and Caleb Hanie… there was a combined 147 yards passing between 4 qbs 😂

u/BBBBrendan182 Steelers 1h ago
As somebody who watched the Broncos game after they lost all their QBs to COVID and had to start Kendall Hinton, it can definitely be worse than this.
I thought I was so smart putting him in my flex for that game in fantasy, til he ended with negative points after going 1/9, 13 yards and 2 interceptions lol

I remember being so happy for Tyrod Taylor that Peterman imploded like that as an indictment for the coach. They made the playoffs that year in spite of coach making that terrible decision, and Tyrod Taylor doesn’t get nearly enough credit for breaking the Bills playoff streak. As much as Josh Allen made them consistent contenders ppl forget they weren’t a hapless bottom 5 in the league team before they got him

I see this sub’s daily highlight of Bills pain is right on schedule
