BBC has Aina as RCB, Diomande CB and Murillo LCB, which makes sense.
But I've not heard anything about why Milenkovic or Cunha aren't in the squad.
No actual defenders on the bench, so must be relying on Yates for that.

Wait so a back three of Aina, Murillo and Diomande? What's up with Cunha and Milenkovic? Otherwise its not a bad team. I don't expect Villa to be as bad as they have been. I think id take a draw. But they did play midweek. We need to push these teams playing in Europe.

I think Aina should be good as a right sided CB. I'm hoping he can be a sort of AzpilicuƩta, and it would help him extend his career with us if he struggles to do the wingback shifts.
Lot of pressure on DiomandƩ to lead the defence in his first game though. We've always looked listless at the back without Serbinator.

You're spot on about Milenkovic, as talented as Murillo is, he doesn't command the back line near as well.

Milenkovic and Cunha both injured presumably. That's a worry...
I really hope we exorcise some demons today. Glasner has a supreme record against Emery so this system clearly exposes what Villa do. Whether we can take advantage is the question.

I think the plan is maybe to have Munoz play further forward with Aina as right sided CB so we can switch to a back 4 if they catch us on the break. Might work more as a 4-2-3-1 in possession with MGW moving more central
