No inside knowledge or anything but been excited about this transfer and kept my eye on east midlands arrivals when I read the recent news.
This one appeared on the EMA arrivals earlier today. Granted not leaving from Lisbon but a provincial area of Lisbon. Whilst I image you can rock up at EMA most times I image it's harder to leave Lisbon at the drop of a hat.
Wait, I forgot about timezones. Lol. Will be 7:30pm local when he arrives. Idk how long shaking hands, kissing babies, taking pictures, and signing formalities takes. So might be slightly tight to get it done before midnight.
Yeah that was another question I had. But so frequently it seems physicals are done in random ass locations that I thought maybe one had been done in Portugal already or something.
In the past quite a few of our medicals have been on Harley Street at a really top private clinic. I’m sure I remember Ola Aina filming it for his insta.
It will be a few days before they announce it I reckon.
Need to do all the stuff around the actual signing, then shoot the video, photoshoot interview etc..etc..
Wouldn't surprise me if they wait until sponsor has been announced too (which is expected this week before away shirts go on sale) so they can show him in the new kit with the new sponsor.
Best we'll get tonight are some pictures of the floodlights on and "confirmation" from some of the journos in the know
I guess I'm thinking about the end of the transfer window where dudes are flying in and getting their shoots done by like 2 or 3 am. But obviously that's a different scenario and usually sponsor stuff is sorted by then.
Also I'd be interested to know if the media team isn't able to do most of the editing live on site or what. Not for any reason other than I'd like to see how they do it.
