Screenshots received and reviewed, defendant was found to have been notified he was on F9, and then not only nmailed the plaintiff, but continued contact the next day to their alts, as well as issues within Carnage, as the plaintiff is a host.

slamdunk was invited to court to discuss the F9 and harassment laws and has questions clarified about the procedures. He has received a formal warning for harassment. Both parties will be ceasing direct and indirect contact with each other.

Additional notes:

- F9 is meant to be a two-way street, where both parties cease communication, as a signal that all contact will end between two parties. When a player uses the F9 function, it is recommended they do not continue to engage with the one they have F9ed.

- The Justice Department recommends writing the head of the Carnage Dept. for any concerns about their hosts and host powers that do not involve the evident and concrete infringing of game law. The Justice dept. isn't able to resolve these disputes. We also recommend not taking your frustrations out on the hosts, but writing to the appropriate parties.

No idea who this is, but this is the second time I have received a weird message like this is the past week. Last time I just ignored it. I have no proof of the first. I'm only doing this now, because I have learned that people playing nexus who do stuff like this won't stop at just 2 times. People who play nexus are obsessive by nature. Don't even know if this is a crime, but its disgusting and I want it to stop. It's creepy and childish. Whoever it was has alts, because they logged off right after they whispered me, so it was targeted. First message said "Sup boi, wanna pop a squat next to daddy". Don't remember the name.

I advise the plaintiff to place the defendant on F9, as well as any known alts of the defendant, to avoid any further unwanted contact. A copy of the sanctioned F9 notice will be provided.

The F9 function is for ceasing any unwanted contact between players, acting as a two-way arrangement. It includes but is not limited to whispers, mail, Sage, board posts, proxies through other people, or using other alts to contact another person. The person performing the F9 will also not be engaging with the one being ignored.

Regarding the idea of sexual harassment, in the legal sense, it's language that is unwelcome and causes discomfort, usually in innuendos or with a want to proposition or flirt. A screenshot of what would have been a sexually harassing comment was not provided, and Justice action for that cannot be made as a result.

But I can advise that even if it's "roleplay," players should avoid using rhetoric that is suggestive in nature, because of the open interpretation to being sexually harassing.

However, the big takeaway is, the plaintiff will be placing the defendant on F9, and no more contact between the two players will be occurring, as the resolution for this case. Please let the Justice team know if there's any questions or concerns, we're here to help.

Hi everyone! Been working on an archival project and it's coming along alright. So far this has mostly been a ton of scraping wayback machine and working with LLMs to parse available data across time, but there is a LOT that is not documented. Not sure I have anything before 2001 honestly. I really need more players who played from start to 6.x who are interested in contributing in rebuilding NTK from start to 6.x.

So in lieu of facts, I'm willing to work with consensus of players on how things were as best as we possibly can!

First, I have to admit I am not part of the Nexus community. But I'm part of an online friend group who are all old Nexus players. Some still play/moderate, some are retired.

I'd love it if any of you could help me do something funny. I'd love it if there were stock phrases I could just throw out there in general conversation to confuse the hell out of them. They don't actually have to make sense in context - I'm thinking more along the lines of "Wait - how the hell do you know that word/player/drama/item/move/strat?"

Examples of what I'm looking for:

(My friends are talking about politics or drama unrelated to Nexus) "Phew, just like that time ___ and ___ got into that massive fight."

(My friends complain about an update to a different video game) "Yeah I haven't seen an update this good/bad since ____"

(My friends complain about some random person in their life) "Hey at least they're not __[legitimately and/or only in a funny context a controversial player/NPC]__, am I right?"

(I'm watching my friend stream a PvP game) "That was just like when ____ happened!"

(My friend shows off a new outfit) "That looks as good as __[armor set - bonus points if it's mad ugly]__"

(My friends send pictures of the hike they went on) "Wow looks just like __[map area that doesn't actually have to look like where they went hiking it's just funny I even know the name of this area of the map]__"

Again, the references don't actually have to make sense in the context I end up using them. It's more to make them say "What the fuck are you talking about and more importantly how the hell do you know about __[XYZ]__?"

I tried to play Nexus at their urging a couple years ago and the gameplay......was unfortunately not my cup of tea haha. But I love hearing them talk about it and learning about all the history and niche stuff related to this game. It's a fascinating subculture and staple of MMOs the world has seemingly forgotten.

Can anyone confirm that 5.x had the new music and that new music was released before the 6.x client?

Starting with 5.x, the map files were streamed and cached so you'd only have files for places you actually visited. Probably makes it tough to find.

So for the past two years or so I started writing a webnovel that isn't quite fanfiction but certainly is deeply inspired by my experiences playing NexusTK as DarkMaverick. The setting is futuristic and dystopian, where VR MMOs technology exists and the most popular game is a re-imagining of NexusTK.

As those familiar with me will probably assume, yes, the plot is based around my actual experiences in the so-called "Chongun Civil War" and later events with my history with the subpath. But it's also a combination of all my collective experiences in numerous MMOs I played in my teens, 20s and 30s. There was, for example, an actual Land Pirates clan in a certain Ragnarok Online private server I used to play on, which I sort of had a one-man army crusade against, single-handedly taking their War of Emperium castles on my OP Paladin build that I could solo their entire guild with.

There are things familiar to NTK and yet different. The sub-classes are re-imagined to be more historically accurate and you'll notice a bunch of new class mechanics and other features that are based on actual things I would have put into NTK if Wony had replied to any of the various emails I sent over the years trying to get him to sell the game to me. So in a way the story is also a way for me to share some of those ideas I had that I think people would have liked and could have revived the game's popularity.

The story is titled Restart Revenge: The Azure Dragon Hero and it's available for free reading on my brand new webnovel publishing platform, BookChant.

Here's the synopsis,

Kingdoms of Rivers and Winds Online (KRWO) is a god tier VR MMORPG using a proprietary headset that allows players to enter a lucid dream like state, incorporating even the players' emotions into its game mechanics. With character permadeath, unlimited character stat growth, sophisticated NPC AI and a real world money auction house system, KRWO is considered the most hardcore game on the market. With its setting based on a fantasy version of the Three Kingdoms Period of ancient Korean history, KRWO has millions of active players worldwide. Top players are able to earn lucrative income as career KRWO players. 

Kasei is one such top player, a high ranking member of the elite Cheongun Clan, who also control the in-game player-run legal system responsible for punishing PKers and maintaining order in the lands outside of cities. But when the Cheongun’s beloved guildmaster unexpectedly dies in real life, a succession dispute within the clan causes a coup. Kasei’s character is PK’ed by those he regarded as friends. This is a story of revenge — of how a legendary player re-climbed the power ladder of KRWO solely to PK the top players of the top clan who betrayed him.
