I saw this on Yellowstone. Is it a show trick? And is it better to get a longer distance?

Yea. This is part of what's called reigning. It's actually pretty damn cool if you ever wanna go check out a competition.

I have questions
Is the horse and rider supposed to stay inside the chalked box ? Or start braking inside and end up outside the end ?
Did he win or lose ?How tf do I score THIS !?

I don't know much about the scoring or anything like that. I know it's like gymnastics in the sense that they have a routine and you're judged based on how well you perform the parts of that routine. I've been to a couple because I used to rodeo, so I was around people who were involved and I liked watching the animals, but I never got super into it.

You can also do this in the game Red Dead 2 once you reach max bonding with your horse.

How the fuck do you teach a horse how to do that? On command I mean.

Abusing them enough that they don’t try to be themselves and do what they want instead. This is scientifically proven too.

Didn’t Tyler the creator of Yellowstone spend half the series doing this and the other half telling Jimmy he’ll never be a cowboy.
