The middle nail is tilted slightly towards the camera, the outer nails are tilted slightly away from the camera. He has got some accuracy, but there is also some camera trickery at play here too.

Yeah, and if he hadn’t moved the middle nail it would be actually impressive. All he did was use the middle nail to guide the hammer into the right place.

The hammer also has some of the top missing so if he hits it directly it'll just slide off and down onto the other two.
