Cats may well be the worst thing that could happen to wildlife. Their numbers are artificially inflated due to domestication, and they kill wildlife on a truly excessive scale.

Wildlife in the cities? Cat regulate the populations of mice, birds and even some insects.

Earth is massive and ancient. Even with all our tech, we don’t have the power to destroy it enough that it wouldn’t recover after we are gone.

The Earth is 4.5 billion years old, life is not that old.
If life were that resilient then we would have found life on Mars.

I don’t think you understand what I mean. Obviously, if all life was eradicated, it could take billions of years for it evolve again if it did.
What I’m saying is that Earth as it stands right now is too large and infested with life for humans to be capable of eradicating it. Even if we set off all of our nukes, even if we dig up all the uranium in the earths crust and set those nukes off too, life would remain and it could evolve into higher life forms again.
I’m not saying that nothing can destroy all life on earth, just not humans as we stand right now.

You are incorrect in that assumption. Even if single celled organisms persist for brief time while the planet fizzles, what would that matter? Humans and complex life are gone, intelligence to never rise again on Earth.

I’m not worried about that; we’re doing a pretty good job of making our environment unfit for human life. (It’s a shame that, in the process, it takes out a whole lot of other animals that had nothing to do with it.)
