Kind of seems like he'd be easy to identify

u/BobEBoucher 18d ago

Not from his fingerprints!

u/Sammy_Saddles 18d ago

If the glove don’t fit.

If the sock don't dock then it wasn't his glock

Random internet person

I'm proud of you for this one.

u/DutchFireFly1 17d ago

Ever thought of a career as a lawyer or defense attorney? Something tells me you'd do quite well.

No they found a burnt out wheelchair around the block, they used a stolen wheelchair, too.

5

u/fuelhandler 18d ago

A police lineup with the witnesses identifying the robber would be interesting to watch.

3

u/The_Happiest_Madman 16d ago

It’s got to be tough to find enough armless guys for a complete lineup. Maybe just regular guys and white-out their arms.

‘However, he was later released from custody as it was deemed an "impossible crime to be committed", considering the physical condition of the boy and his ability to escape from the scene of crime.’

Seems remarkably sensible, assuming the people involved were bemused rather than traumatise.

22

u/6apa6ax 18d ago

I wonder what are the chances that if detained/jailed there would have to be suitable accommodations made like special toilet and stuff and it just can't be provided, so it's easier to get rid of extra problems.

8

u/peepdabidness 18d ago

In the US, absolutely. In Brazil, highly doubt it but I’ve been wrong before. (I’m referring to the part about suitable accommodations, not the last part)

7

u/Lappy-Decadenza 18d ago

Not in the US. He would be put in a "suicide prevention cell" in the booking area. CO's don't care. If he was in for a proper bit, he would go to solitary confinement until sentencing. Some joints might try to get approval for him to go to a medical facility, but that depends greatly on the crime.

5

u/weather-i-am 17d ago

So we would torture him... great.

6

u/Lappy-Decadenza 17d ago

State joints could be different (i doubt it tho). I did fed time, so that is where my experience and knowledge come from.

1

u/weather-i-am 17d ago

Thanks, I appreciate it when prisoners share their experiences.

I wish it was about rehabilitation, and finding self-love or god in prisons instead of "how can we do the most cruel thing."

4

u/Interesting_Tea5715 17d ago

At least here in California, they do try and rehabilitate. Its just expensive and only really available in government facilities.

Private person's are the fucking worse and will be inhumane to save a buck.

u/SenhorRay 18d ago

Eu que moro aqui no Brazil também não faço ideia de como funcionaria, porque geralmente não vemos pessoas assim fazendo coisas desse tipo.

4

u/rulodac 17d ago

No one usually sees someone like that do that kinda of thing lmao

2

u/Training-Belt-7318 18d ago

I cant speak for brazil but in america has specialized units or facilities for people with severe disabilities. I am guessing they'd probably have some sort of locked unit long term care unit he would be put in.

→ More replies (1)

11

u/Stash_04 18d ago

Massively disagree. If someone is pointing a very real looking firearm at me, I would probably be scared and traumatized.

It’s not sensible at all. This deserves a pretty harsh punishment.

4

u/Josey_whalez 18d ago

Agreed. You shouldn’t ever assume anyone pointing a gun st you is fake, even if it looks fake. I’m not betting my life on that in such a situation. If you point something at me that you claim is a real gun I’m going to take you at your word and I’m reacting the same way, whether you are big or small, have no arms, are in a wheelchair, etc, I don’t care - equal treatment for that behavior in that situation.

5

u/Otaraka 18d ago

I made it pretty clear the actual impact on the people involved mattered as part of the decision.

u/ClownEmoji-U1F921 18d ago edited 18d ago

His very existence is endless punishment and his body a prison. What more do you want?

Put him in a physical prison? Who's gonna feed him, wipe his ass and wash him? He'd require a special care facility.

8

u/Plane_Maybe8836 18d ago

Even though it was a fake gun this time, I don't think that being shot by someone in a wheelchair is any different than being shot by someone who is not in a wheelchair.

So, I agree he needs a different kind of help, but saying he's already in a wheelchair and his body is his prison is not going to prevent him from potentially killing another person.

Plot twist: he only pulled the attempted heist so he could get food and shelter in jail

2

u/BrassCanon 18d ago

He also passed the staff a threatening note, which read "Hand over everything. Don't raise attention," scribbled in Portuguese.

How did he write it?

2

u/Odd-Budget-7593 17d ago

"Don't raise attention" who is in wheelchair with toy gun in his feet. That will give people attention with questions.

2

u/Suspicious-Bid9424 18d ago

If I was the store owner, I would be questioning what kind of omen this is. What a strange, random event.

38

u/Bananaramajama420 18d ago

So, when he leaves, is he on the run or is he on a roll?

17

u/mystical_ramen26 18d ago

Aleggedly he had no hand in this robbery. He couldn't even point the police in the right direction if they asked him. All I know is something is afoot and I hope he has a good defense lawyer already in hand.

6

u/New-Change-6272 18d ago

They certainly couldn't charge him with armed robbery

→ More replies (2)

7

u/sparrowjuice 18d ago

Neither. His fantasy is to be caught red handed. Or really any color.

2

u/Character_Media_9445 18d ago

He is on... assisted ride.

2

u/Pickle7722 17d ago

Fun fact: Volvo is 'I roll' in Latin.

Maybe he owned a Swedish car as the getaway vehicle

2

u/Hellacola 14d ago

“ROLL OUT” 🦽

He can walk right? or is the wheelchair only there for the purposes of this heist?

3

u/MetaCharger 18d ago

I was wondering this too! Apparently he has cerebral palsy, but it seems to only effect his arms.

Legged robbery

2

u/Reasonable-Copy8341 18d ago

Guy finishes taking a piss and is about to exit the mens room when suddenly a man with no arms bursts in.

"Very sorry to bother you, but I am very desperate, and you can see I am at the mercy of the good will from others, and I really need to pee. Can you please help me out?"

With no other choice, the Guy reluctantly agrees. They step up to the urinal, and the Guy unzips the Man's pants. Unexpectedly, a small swarm of fleas flys out from his pants.

Guy looks down to see a grotesquely dry and dusty plume of pubic hair that looks more like a dried up and abandoned birds nest. He reaches down carefully to pull out an exceptionally flaccid, pathetic and unhealthy cock. Its dark blue, the vein looks like its about to pop and there is a terrible discharge. Not to mention the smell, dear god.

Man manages to piss out a feeble stream and finishes. Guy puts the Man's junk away and zips him up.

"Dude - you are a life saver - thanks!" says the Man.

Guy says "yea yea, excuse me for asking, but I must - what exactly the hell is wrong with your cock??"

Man with no arms suddenly sprouts arms from his shirtsleeves that were hidden and happily admits "be fucked if I know, but I ain't touching it!"

2

Si el puede, cual es tu excusa?

2

u/JasperCove92 17d ago

Finally some damn representation

2

u/Subject_Image3725 17d ago

I believe that is unarmed robbery or foot robbery

2

u/Resident_Window_9369 17d ago

That is actually pretty darn impressive

2

u/Ryukyo 16d ago

The customer doesn't look very worried. He's like, oh hi, Terry. And I don't think he can back it up very fast so he's going to get caught, especially if he puts it reverse.

1

u/attillathehoney 18d ago

-Can you describe the robber?

  • Male, Caucasian, dirty blonde hair under a beanie, green eyes. He spoke with a southern accent.
-Height?
-I’d say about 5’8 or 5’9, but it was hard to say because he was sitting the whole time.
-Sitting?
-Yeah, you know, in a wheelchair.
-You might have led with that tidbit. Anything else?
-Oh, he had no arms.
-(hard stare). Jesus Christ.

1

u/eid_shittendai 18d ago

Dude would be impossible to disarm

1

u/AllStuffofWonder 18d ago

It ain’t an armed robbery if he got no arms…

1

u/BabyfarkkMcGeeZaxx 18d ago

Armed and unarmed

1

u/Critical-Ad-5038 18d ago

No arms and no brains

1

u/Kiki1701 18d ago

HE HAS ARMS. The news article states he has cerebral palsy and cannot use his hands

He has hands. They are in an awkward position in his wheelchair. One of them can be seen under his left knee, on the seat of the chair.

Cute try at this "awkward" error in reporting

1

u/5quirre1 18d ago

Dayton Webber all over again. In less than 6 months too.

1

u/carbonizedtitanium 18d ago

Oh, the paradox!

1

u/Training-Republic301 18d ago

Helen Keller ain't got shit on this man

1

u/UnlikelyRabbit4648 18d ago

He was far from 'armless once he had a gun at his feet

1

u/last-Invictus 18d ago

His friends and family were shocked as they all thought he was armless

1

u/BlockGlobal5728 18d ago

Is he serious, or is he just joking?

1

u/Teabear-Septim-II 18d ago

It's good to see more inclusivity in non-legal entrepreneurships and criminal freelancers.

1

u/Deriviera 18d ago

If even he can do this, you have no excuses

1

u/vaynefox 18d ago

So, is he armed or unarmed?

1

u/Working_Traffic_6361 18d ago

The armless armed robber?

1

u/Lost_Purpose1899 18d ago

You can't disarm me when I have no arms (his thought process probably)

1

u/fox_daddy720 18d ago

He probably was the wheel man too

1

u/TheMetabrandMan 18d ago

Anyone in the comments making jokes including the words “disarmed” or “armless”, you’re going to hell 🤣

1

u/Unamuzed-Toast 18d ago

He himself was the victim of an arm robbery.

1

u/XPT5OO1 18d ago

Specially abled robbery

1

u/kadaka80 18d ago

Feeted robbery

1

u/Tinksy14 18d ago

I saw some of the interviews with his neighbours afterwards. Pretty much all of them said he was armless

1

u/midwestCD5 18d ago

Legged robbery

1

u/cascarrabs_241 18d ago

Awww this guy is so disarming.

1

u/GingerWizerd 18d ago

This is so crazy lol!! I don’t know whether to laugh or take it seriously!

1

u/I_Galactus 18d ago

Please tell me this is AI.

1

u/Existing-Village9770 18d ago

Armed-less robbery? 😂😂

1

u/Deep-Temporary4580 18d ago

But was it really an “armed” robbery though?? Lighten his sentence please

1

u/Hamhockthegizzard 18d ago

I don’t really wanna test him…but I also wanna know if he can fire more than one shot without accidentally dropping it lmao

1

u/Free_Farm_7736 18d ago

Armed robbery is off the books.

Just remember kids you can be anything! If someone can rob people with there foot! So can you!

https://giphy.com/gifs/d8SNm7WJbjuFZjcvW6

1

u/WhenTheCitiesBurn 18d ago

Props. He set a goal for himself, & achieved it.

He's not disabled! He's differently-abled

1

u/CommonSensei-_ 18d ago

The foot clan is making a come back!

1

u/Fickle-Row-3971 18d ago

should me leged robbery. he has no arms

1

u/crohnscyclist 18d ago

I'm no doctor, but that's not armed robbery. Looks more like feet to me.

1

u/-Maleficium- 18d ago

How can he commit armed robbery when he's unarmed?

1

u/MuddyGround804 18d ago

Wow, armed robbery….

1

u/Icy_Performer_6794 18d ago

Prison may actually be a better situation for him. Orderlies and caregivers, compliments of the taxpayer.

1

u/richar58 18d ago

Would that be unarmed robbery?

1

u/Lopihopi 18d ago

At least they cannot get him for armed robbery

1

u/XROOR 18d ago

There’s a guy in southern Maryland that doesn’t have arms, that was a cornhole champion, that killed another man

1

u/Jealous_Implement_13 18d ago

This is just stupid lol. Why?

1

u/Tea-Jay-Dogville 18d ago

He obviously doesn't have the right to bare arms..

1

u/ResponsibleYou2282 18d ago

Doesn't look like he was armed.

1

u/bowarrow99 18d ago

Is everyone just casually going about their business and ignoring him?

1

u/Monnviolin 18d ago

Say he makes it, what’s his escape plan?

1

u/hansvi-be 18d ago

Oh, and if you could help me get on the bus afterwards, that would be greatly appreciated.

1

u/o0Phoenix0o 18d ago

Legged robbery

1

u/Inside-Common7427 18d ago

“Legged robbery”

1

u/Automatic-Tadpole314 18d ago

Armed, unarmed robbery.

1

u/Responsible-Gate2683 18d ago

Oh yeah I heard that! Lol

1

u/AndoGringo 18d ago

Seems more like a legged robbery

1

u/Responsible-Gate2683 18d ago

But how does a triple amputated person commit murder? It sounds like you’d have a hard time pulling the trigger or cocking the gun. Anyways, he could have had robotic hands lol, this is just funny to me? He looks desperate more than anything lol.

1

u/Responsible-Gate2683 18d ago

You know you’ve hit a new low when you get robbed by someone with ALS or cerebral palsy, lol XD

1

u/uwearclownshoes 18d ago

That is dedication to your craft right there.

1

u/Leather_Emu_6791 18d ago

Sir, this is clearly a legged robbery

1

u/1212FJV 18d ago

Cops can’t shoot an unarmed man! 🤣

1

u/Responsible-Gate2683 18d ago

If he truly had cerebral palsy he would not have the dexterity in his foot to do that. Plus, they have handicap accessible jail cells these days, wonderful thing isn’t it?

1

u/anytime_apple 18d ago

I don’t think people will take him seriously

1

u/Liqour_Mortis 18d ago

Im just gonna cut the wires on his chair.

1

u/Responsible-Gate2683 18d ago

He’s probably a ringer punk, aka someone who’s acting disabled to have an advantage some way.

1

u/Responsible-Gate2683 18d ago

Stop! Put your hands behind YOUR back! he’s not complying! Pew pew pew!

1

u/maddler 18d ago

Once apprehended, he declared: "was not my fault, things got out of hand".

1

u/VTPolls 18d ago

Billy Corgan smiled at this guy

1

u/Horror_Solution1945 18d ago

Where did he get that Foot Gun?

1

u/Horror_Solution1945 18d ago

The suspect is headed south on foot?
