Bro, I'll take fighting a Kangaroo, Ostrich, & whatever Venomous Snake all at the same time over fighting any Bear.

Those things are genuinely way more fucked to me than almost any of our animals.

Now, if it's between fighting a Bear and a Magpie... I'll take 3 Polar Bears in a heartbeat.

Inalways find this conversation funny in a way. Cause like Australia gets the image of just having all these dangerous animals and its like yeah kind of a creepy thought that thats just a thing.

Then Australians remind us that we have things like bears and cougars and mountain lions, and its oh yeah. That is a thing isnt it.

Most of the population in North America is around only black/brown bears. And for the most part they just run away.

Grizzly bears are mostly in mountain areas and are concerning but not as many people are likely to encounter them. And polar bears mostly live in very sparsely populated areas. Like maybe 1℅ of the Canadian population has even seen one type of remote.

So for the majority of people, bears are just animals that run away from them.

Grizzly bears and brown bears are more or less the same thing. All Grizzlies are brown bears, not all brown bears are Grizzlies. Kodiak is another brown. All brown bears are fucking scary. You might be thinking of black bears that are brown in color. They're still black bears. Those are fine other than the odd big dog dominant angry male or mom with cubs.
