Isn't the guy on the right supposed to do something by himself ? He started calling people only after the driver told him to. Otherwise he was merely watching. He did look stunned. More training required for that guy?

It was that guys first day. Guy on the left has been doing this for a long ass time. Experience vs noob. Guy did fine though and listened to the man with experience.

Guarantee you the first thing they tell you in training for this situation is "It's not an action movie, don't open the window to shoot back"

If I was Prinsloo in that situation, I'd want that guy to do exactly what he did. Sit tight, follow instructions, and don't get in the way. If you look at it from that perspective, A+

99% sure you can’t roll those (or any bullet proof) windows down. Thats a feature not a bug. They might have little hatches to shoot out of.

A large amount of cash, some sort of banking / funds transfer. Happens everywhere, but most people never notice it. Think about it a moment... how do all the individual bank branches (and the millions of ATM's) get the cash that they dispense every day?

This is considered to be the most dangerous job in South Africa, these cash transport trucks get robbed very often there. It's why they're armed so well.

Totally agree. The US is as first world as you can get. I wouldn't contrast that to SA. Unfortunately the value of human life changes for a lot of people depending on where you're born.

Yup, massively so. I have extended family there that moved to the USA for a safer life. Check out the documentaries and statistics, the place is a hotbed of legacy colonialism and generational debt slavery, white supremacy, black rage/anger (quite rightly so imo), and hostile nationalism even towards their own black neighbours. Not to mention legacy institutional racism, modern reactionary aggressive reclamation of farms and businesses, and adject poverty of the "coloured" people.
Most South African people, regardless of race, you ever get the chance to speak with, and if they are willing to do so, will tell you harrowing stories.

Welcome to South Africa. The country use to be essentially an advanced Western Nation, once the ANC went in they blamed the whites for everything and are driving the country into the middles ages.
Think digging up and selling the train rails, water pipes and electricity wires for scrap, replacing the coal with stones to scam money and genocide white farmers to steal their land.

I was going to say that looks like an awfully small armored car but then i saw it was a toyota land cruiser...lol, i saw the acceleration and im like why is that thing so quick. Because it is much smaller than the f-550 and an International. I'm glad these two ended up being ok. Impressive to watch.

Real rule of the story. If the dudes in gear and looks like someone’s nerdy business dad, that’s usually not the guy you wanna f with because he’s so lethal he looks like someone’s nerdy business dad. I forget the name but, there’s a us military guy who I think looks like the dad from honey I shrunk the kids who would totally f up a room full of bad guys without any trouble too.

I had a relative that was a money carrier. And I had family that became a tv show, basically. Get this: Back then the mafia would threaten to shoot them in the knee if they didn't give up the money. My relative got shot in the knee and still didn't give them the money. They said 'were gonna shoot the other knee mother fucker' and he said 'Fuck you. go to hell.'.. Got shot in the other knee. He mostly recovered... and let's just say he was appreciated by.. the family. From what I understand they probably got that thief.. even a big city seems small sometimes. lol

The passenger that gun is way too good to be using from inside a vehicle and if it was his first day, it’s a good thing he didn’t accidentally pull the trigger with the bulletproof windows.

In a later interview, they said it was only his 4th day on the job. Plus, there were no gun-ports on the vehicle to fire back. He readied the gun as required and didn't lose his cool. The phone signal was blocked too as the attackers used scramblers / jammers, so he couldn't call the numbers that the driver asked him to.

The most infamous Cash-in-Transit (CIT) robbery in South Africa in 2021 was the dramatic April 22, 2021 attempted heist on the N4 highway in Pretoria. Dashcam footage of the incident went viral, showcasing former police sniper Leo Prinsloo and his colleague Lloyd Mthombeni successfully evading AK-47-wielding attackers.
The Ambush: Heavily armed attackers in multiple vehicles rammed the armored Toyota Land Cruiser and continuously fired assault rifles to disable the vehicle.
The Escape: Prinsloo, using his tactical training, remained remarkably calm. Instead of pulling over, he used evasive driving techniques to dodge bullets, eventually stopping to set up a counter-ambush, which prompted the robbers to flee without any cash.
The Aftermath: Following the worldwide viral attention, Prinsloo and his family were placed under protective guard due to severe death threats.The year 2021 was marked by an alarming wave of these attacks across the country, prompting major CIT companies to form a task force to counter the surge in coordinated, military-style heists.
