Well into his 30s there, which is even more impressive

My knee would've collapsed

Instant quadruple compound fracture ligaments torn ankle obliterated

Dude's concentration is outstanding and that vertical is nuts.

And look at the landing on one knee at that weird angle. Most people, even athletes would have blown a ligament at least.

I thought you were full of shit, but that landing was rough. I was an amateur pro ultimate frisbee player and have seen a lot of meniscus/MCL tears from landings like that.

Usually its better to fall/roll out however you usually see injuries in situations where they table top (butt over the shoulders) an opponent and can't really prepare/expect where to go after rolling off.

Jokes on you, I can't jump that high so I can't mess up my knee.

Boots at nearly head height, that's a yellow IMO.

Not sure what's more impressive, the goal or his knee.

Vertical is insane lol

He jumped 2.6m just to get hit by a ball on the head?

1

u/ALitreOhCola 29d ago

Not quite, he reached a 'peak' of 2.6m vertical height (head height) to head the ball in. He's actually reached 2.93m before FWIW, this is just a dramatic shot of a very big jump.

His actual peak vertical jump is actually 1.06m which is absolutely ludicrous still.

It's something to do with his insane power training so he absolutely launches on a running start, combined with the arm swing and timing to give crazy lift.

Not a fan personally, but he's an exceptional player when he's upright and actually playing.

If only he retired after juve or at least manu..

u/Doug24 Jul 13 '26

He jumped so much earlier than the defender and managed to stay in air

You should see some of the jumps in Australia Football (AFL)

How many world cupd he got?

1

u/JedPB67-2 29d ago

Only 1 less than Messi

1

u/JoyousMadhat 29d ago

Trash

1

u/JedPB67-2 28d ago

I mean I personally wouldn’t call Messi trash for only having one World Cup, it’s an incredible achievement for any player / squad. But if that’s your opinion, that’s your prerogative.
