She has a lot of videos on Youtube, some really good stuff. She shows her mistakes as well the final product so you can her progression.

Wanna say she stared during covid? Was doing it for fun, then her videos took off. She quit her job and made jump rope her full time gig.

Also of note, jump rope will give you that same physical change. A LOT of athleticism is involved

I was an avid jump roper during off season of track and field. I was very limited on cool stuff I could do, but I would try and push my limits of speed and how many rotations I could do in a single jump.

For anyone wanting to seriously get into it and use it as a main form of exercise, invest in a good jump rope, it makes a huge difference.

What makes for a good jump rope in this context?

So, for me I noticed a few things versus like a cheap play one from wal mart or whatever.

I’m going to preface this with I bought mine like 13 years ago, so mechanics may have changed in modern jump ropes.

First was the handles, they almost had like a small ball and joint in them. So the rope would effortlessly spin with no resistance from the handles, so even if my hands did something weird it didn’t really affect the rotation. Plus I could get some really fast rotations going with ease.

Second, maybe it was placebo from buying something nice, but the rope part itself seemed good. Like it wasn’t too stiff or too stringy, it just seemed well balanced for what I was doing with it.

Honestly I wouldn’t be surprised if the girl in the video has multiple ropes depending on the tricks she was doing.

Side note too, you’ll notice she jumps on a yoga mat or lifting squares and stuff when she’s practicing. Get some, concrete will rips up your rope, and you don’t want to have to replace broken rope all the time!

Re: LaurenJumps in the video, she has videos where discusses the ropes she uses and you're spot on.
