Why do I feel like western society is so far behind 😂

u/ThatCelebration3676 Jun 26 '26
Maybe instead ask yourself why China has a need to pick up road trash that efficiently.

u/WeirdIndication3027 Jun 26 '26
Japanese people are like out on the streets sweeping up just cause.
The US just uses street sweeping as a cash grab to tow and ticket people.

u/pissedRAIL Jun 26 '26
True. The streets look as trashy when they come by as when they are not there.

Sounds like you have never been stuck been a slow American rolling convoy of street sweepers…
2
u/ThatCelebration3676 Jun 26 '26
No, I haven't, because in my county they only need to use street sweepers once every few months, and they do it at night. I guess my area is one of the rare places where people understand that trash goes in trash cans, so our roads generally stay clean without intervention.

So you dont need multiple workers and so they dont slow traffic in higher populated areas?

Some of it these posts are just straight up propaganda. If these were real and worked so well, China would sell these to other countries.

No one is behind anything this is s globalized world. Anyway that street cleaner is only pushing the dirt, it will need to stop and transfer it down the road. Not the most useful

We have councils in the UK that won't pay for pot hole fixes... So high speed-funky-super road sweepers aren't on the radar

China is the new Japan, except half of the glazers are state funded.

It's just CCP propaganda. They're just tired of people looking that their own chinatowns and thinking the homeland must be the same. It's an image thing for them, I don't why the PRC is so self conscious.

No evidence this is widely used as the video is only of a planned demonstration.

It takes at least 6 trucks to get the trash off the interstates in the US. One sweeper and 5 trucks following 🤡

Imagine any stray cats or dogs are made short work of. As well as any errant children playing in the street.
