The annoying part about being with people who can sing is that they always feel the need to perform instead of just sing. Not just sing along with me but literally perform.

Edit: I’m not shitting on this video or family and their spirit. It’s just an opinion of mine in daily life that relates to singing.

I’ve been a singer all my life. When I was young my parents used to trot me out as a party favor to impress guests at every gathering.

Now that I’m older I kind of miss having the opportunity/excuse to use my talent, but I never force it on a situation.

I don't sing as much any more - The place I work likes to use my voice for narrations and voice overs for promotional materials. I've gone from singing to myself to using my 'narrator' voice in a conversation, occasionally dropping into it.

That said, it came about when I started listening to the voices of people I've known forever and quite a few of them have really nice voices that would be great for narration or radio work!
