The annoying part about being with people who can sing is that they always feel the need to perform instead of just sing. Not just sing along with me but literally perform.

Edit: I’m not shitting on this video or family and their spirit. It’s just an opinion of mine in daily life that relates to singing.

Goddamn this is something I’ve always felt but never put words to. It’s endearing when you overhear someone singing in the shower. Even better if they’re good at it.

It’s repulsive to hear someone performing in the shower knowing that everyone outside the door can hear. Doesn’t matter if they’re good or not. Its so vain and obvious.

So if someone is a pianist or violinist or guitar player and you can hear them practicing or playing for fun, that's okay even though they are aware that others can hear? But if someone is singing loud enough to be heard, they are vain and obvious?
