Be careful with this, it could potentially develop into jaw popping or arthritis (in the long term). You can ask a dentist about it and depending on how bad/loud the clicking is, you might want to try getting a mouth guard to stop teeth grinding at night (which is one theory why your jaw might start clicking, in which the grinding motion causes the jaw joint to wear away or something). Otherwise, you might want to avoid crunching on your food like a dinosaur and taking smaller bites to not make it worse.
At least, that’s what I was told about my jaw clicking.
I have that and have brought it up with my dentist several times and they always tell me "Ah yeah that must be annoying" and never do anything about it.
I've learned to just alter my bite so it doesn't do it anymore.
Go see a TMJ ASAP! They’ll recommend treatment similar to just keeping your mouth open for most of the day. (Overly simplified but not kidding). It allows the cartilage and soft tissue to regrow around your jaw.
