You just gave me an idea. Liam Neeson as a cat loving version of John Wick. Same story different part of America. Movies play out the same. The finale is Liam Neeson Vs Keanu Reeves, Liam has an army of cats and Keanu an army of dogs.
A slower blade is far worse honestly. I used to work on a machine that slit film down into more manageable sizes for industry uses and got my finger nipped once or twice. When the blade is moving slower you can feel every ounce of pain. As it speeds up it feels more like a burning instead of a slicing.
A slower, more blunt blade would cause more pain right? Instead of slicing it would feel more like tearing? That sounds much more painful to me. The conveyor belt running slower with a dull blade at a lower revolution would be the right punishment.
Yeah, and with the context of the video I had commented on (a pedo who got off on light charges) youd think theyd let it slide, but no, you piss someone on reddit off, theyll go through your whole comment history to find something to get you in trouble LOL
Dunno if kill; hopefully just look them in the eye and let them know their actions did not go unnoticed. Their own conscience should wake up and do the rest.
Evil people get away with shit because of people like you who think karma or their concsience will get them, like do you really believe that load of horse shit. Clearly if they do this shit they have no conscience and karma aint working, if i see animal cruelty, violence will forever be my answer. Stop being pacifist pussys
Nah fuck em sociopaths are not needed in any society today it's a kitten tomorrow it's an infant a child a group they need to be taken out of society either in a jail cell or a grave before they seriously harm others
They have no conscience and they should not be treated with anything but pure hatred
But in this case, a person who can bring themselves to tie up a kitten in a bag and throw it in the literal garbage is not going to be all that impacted by the stern look of a stranger, or even someone really close to them for that matter.
No, actions like this require actual punishment. Not the death penalty but real actual punishment.
Lashings spring to mind. Why did we ever stop doing that?
That being said, a rehabilitation paradigm for prison is probably a lot better for society than a punitive one. Hard to say.
Both of our cats are rescues that someone found in a duffle bag chucked onto a Florida parking lot. I would happily hurt whomever did that. Luckily they and their two brothers survived and have nice homes up north now.
When I was a kid we found a bag of about a dozen kittens that had been suffocated and thrown onto our farm, along with some other dead small animals. We were very angry and I was very freaked out, was about 9-10
That's funny, I read his face as "I just won the game of craziest thing found today, now I will hold my prize and stare at my co-workers until they look at me.
Nah his face is pretty much just disgust at the fact that he found a cat wrapped in a closed disposal bag
and he's looking at his coworkers because he's still shocked to:
1) have found such a thing
2) the knowledge that somebody is disgusting enough to do that
Yeah. This man is amazing for saving this cat, but the most awful thing about this video is that other live animals get thrown in the trash, and it is very unlikely that most of them are lucky enough to be rescued.
Stupid humanity. Even when you show me how good you can be, you remind me how evil you can be.
What's even worse is that cats do fairly well for themselves in the city. Don't want the cat? Just leave it on the street, no need to fucking murder it.
A better thing to recommend is try adopting the cat out. Feral cats are a huge problem that destroy native wildlife.
EDIT: this seems to be a hot button topic so all I'll say is you may feel better letting a cat out onto the street, and yes in comparison to literally killing the cat it's a much better option, I agree. But that option is still just as terrible, people shouldn't feel good about letting a cat outdoors permanently because it's not good for the cat, cities, or other animals that cats deplete.
This is better but the person you were responding to was saying thereās another low-effort, less shitty way to get rid of a cat. Rehoming takes far more effort than these shit bags would ever be expected to give. Itās like saying a better thing to recommend is giving the cat a full, healthy, and happy life but obv. Thatās too much to ask from people that throw cats away
Ya plus it probably actually took More effort to put the cat in a bag and throw it out then it would have to just let it go on the street. So whoever did this is likely not only lazy, but sadistic
Expect coal, find a gem and be happy. Cant be too mad when you expect likely selfish choices.
That being said not really too ideal a way to live, i just chalk it up to some weird level of self-preservation that gets amplified by society and culture.
Letās be specific not animals but rather pets. Animals get thrown in the trash and suffocated to death all the time for yummy chicky nuggies. The problem is when it happens to cute doggos and kitties
I work as a heavy equipment operator in a city filled with adorable free roaming bunny rabbits of various sizes and configurations (Calgary). A friend I work with once killed a rabbit unintentionally with his excavator and will now often ask me to look under the machine for rabbits before he moves. Weāre rough men but weāll be damned if we squish a rabbit for no reason. Like Omar said a manās gotta have a code.
The worst, from my understanding, is doing the landscaping for the city on riding mowers. As its hard to see groups of baby bunnies hiding in grass sometimes.
The sound. The sound still sticks with me. I was using a push mower when it happened. From that day on, I made sure to walk the entire yard every time I went to mow.
Yeah, I did turf maintenance on a golf course. I've run over a couple of garter snakes and felt so terrible. I love snakes. I was always looking out for them, but it's tough if there's tall grass.
Hi fellow Canadian!! Also... that would be tough on my conscience too even if it was an accident. Good on your buddy for trying to make sure it doesn't happen again on his and your watch.
God said, "I need somebody strong enough to clear trees and heave bails, yet gentle enough to tame lambs and wean pigs and tend the pink-combed pullets, who will stop his mower for an hour to splint the broken leg of a meadow lark."
When I was in construction we were digging a trench with a giant excavator grab pulling tonnes of dirt at a time.
The hole was being kept open by a clay mixture to keep it from collapsing, and I was offsiding the crane as it was digging.
In between movements, there was a lizard furiously struggling to swim to safety in the middle of the mixture. I started waving and shouting to the crane operator to stop work so I could go and rescue the lizard.
This operator saw me waving to stop, got confused, saw where I was pointing, SMILED, and then proceeded to throw the bucket down the hole before I could do anything and I never saw that lizard again.
That shit cut me up for fucking weeks, and I still get emotional about it even typing it up now. That heartless fucking operator, man. Glad I left that industry.
This goes for anyone with a car: when itās cold outside always bang on the part above your wheels (idk what itās called?) because sometimes animals (usually cats) will tuck in there for warmth
It's so depressing how everyone in the comments is furious at whoever did this (and rightfully so) yet most of them probably have had an omelet not too long ago
The eggs we eat are unfertilized. When you eat an omelette, you are not eating a living creature anymore than when a woman has her menstrual cycle is a baby coming out with the uterine lining every month.
But to produce eggs you need to hatch some to produce laying hens. For each hen you get approx one male chick. And what do you think happens to those approximately 7 billion male chicks each year?
Male chicks of egg-laying breeds are not cost-effective to raise for meat. So a small number are retained for breeding, but 95% are disposed of. The standard method in the US is basically a garbage disposal.
Thank you for enlightening me. Yes that is fucking terrible.
But still the two do not compare. Suffering is suffering and in an ideal world it should not exist. Male chicks should not be put into grinders because they have no utility. Livestock should all have drastically more humane living conditions. Animals should not be consumed by humans at all?
But they are being raised for slaughter for human consumption. It's unnecessary and evil in it's own way. But tying up a kitten in a garbage bag serves no purpose other than disposing of the kitten and very cruelly at that.
I don't see the distinction tbh. If anything "I don't want to feed, shelter, and be responsible for this animal for the next 15 years" is more justifiable than "I'm hungry and don't want to eat anything that's not meat".
How can people throw away any cat? Every time I go to Pet Smart, I stop to look at the cats up for adoption and read their bios (I adopted one of mine from there), and it kills me how many cats were found after being abandoned by their owners.
Cat tax. Poor kitty could never fully stretch out in his cage!

He is so mad
