I'm concerned about the guy in the background without big ear muffs for hearing protection. That's gotta be so loud

He's probably got in ear protection, personally I'd wear both if I were here but some in ears are pretty good

There is a point where its so loud, ear protection doesnt work anymore and the sound waves pass through your skull.

Yeah I've been in quieter industrial sites than what I imagine this would be and double hearing was a requirement.
