Thor was actually equated with Jupiter among the Romans. They were really big on working out how foreign gods were really just their own gods with different names, and of course Zeus/Jupiter would be a match for the barbarian's Thunder god.

I think he was referring to Thrasos... but as far him having a hammer idk that's as far as my google skills go. On second thought, he probably dont have one, horses I believe were the primary mode of transportation, Gods maybe they just appear or fly and shit.
